I am in favor of contesting (to at least some level) every seat, knowing full well that ones like this are totally unwinnable. For that reason I say don’t give her money unless you have a lot to spare and also are giving to candidates that can win. Being a minor celebrity she can get a lot of free coverage.
Unless she’s a fool she knows she won’t win (and perhaps she has no desire to actually serve) but her running can be useful in the greater scheme of outreach to Black voters, so good on her.
You can be as filthy and rude as you want.
And you can threat Stacey Dash the same as the elites treat President Trump and his wife.
The behavior here, at FR, has always been above that.
I always wondered why she left Fox.
IIRC, her son is a rapper or something.
“...I am in favor of contesting (to at least some level) every seat,...”
As am I.
You don’t win if you don’t fight.
Yes, fight.
The tiny daffodils in my garden are fighting old man winter & whipping him.
Snow on Friday. Counterpunch
RE Old Man Winter:
I’ve been sick and tired of THAT old bastard for a long time now... :^)
Not much of a winter here in Hale country. R yer Hales still in CT?
I had “learned” back in college that it’s better to leave a seat uncontested so as to minimize turnout in an enemy district. I don’t know if that’s true.
In any case, R’s have little chance of winning LA County-wide races or California statewide races. So yes, it is good for raising issues and outreach.
