A 73-year-old concealed carry permit holder shot a 22-year-old suspect three times Thursday morning in Fresno, California, after the suspect allegedly attacked the permit holder with a stick. Your Central Valley reports that the permit holder was taking his normal, early morning walk along a canal when the suspect approached and a “verbal confrontation” ensued.
Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said the confrontation escalated when the suspect allegedly “picked up a large stick or wooden object” and struck the 73-year-old. The elderly man pulled a handgun and shot the suspect three times in response.

Agreed, but this story is short on facts.
Race of the perp? Extent of injuries?
What kind of neighborhood, and where in that neighborhood?
Race of the elderly CCW? Extent of injuries?
Was there really some sort of verbal altercation that got out of hand, or was this just a straight-up mugging?
My old newspaperman’s instincts suggest the latter.

It’s also biased. If the man was “allegedly” hit with the stick, why wasn’t the other person “allegedly” shot by him?

Thank you. I am also 77 and the kid would have wound up in the emergency room to have the stick removed from where the wind don’t blow.

I’ve got some bad news for you. Like the boy wrestler who dresses like a girl and calls himself a girl and wrestles for the state championship 2 years in a row as a girl, isn’t a girl. Governor Warren AKA Pocahontas who says she is an Indian, isn’t. A 77 year old man who says he is young or middle age, isn’t, even if he has a Corvette.
Get used to it, your an old man, but don’t worry it won’t last long.

I believe the girl wrestler in TX is actually a girl, just one that takes steroids and hormones to try to be a boy.
I know some of those canals in Fresno. They are usually where the homeless make camp.
