Airwolf violated many laws of common sense but it had great music and the token dopey 3rd sidekick.
My Wife and her Sisters were friends with Jan-Michael Vincent when they were Kids living in Oxnard. He was a heartthrob.
How times have changed.
I don’t think Jan is doing all that well or so I read.
There is always series killer Barry Van Dyke. He was in those later very low budget Airwolf episodes.

When the engine stops on a helicopter, the driveshaft between the engine and the rotor gearbox shears and the aircraft has a chance to “auto-rotate” down to a nearby flat area.
Jan was making $200,000 an Episode way back when and his bad habits got him fired. Now he is broke and in bad health.
Sad story all around.
I did like the fact that he had Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale as his back seat Weapons Officer though. LOL
yes, it does have that chance..
Indeed but at a high rate of decent
Factors include
Pilot skill
Original error
Weather
Weight load
I knew chopper pilots who had confidence in their hard landing skills
If as stated, it was a Trump Corporation helicopter, the problem wasn’t maintenance.
If it was the Deep State, a really stupid thing for them to do.
You try getting Ernest Borgnine airborne.
Wow, Jan-Michael Vincent was Tony Prito in the 1967 “Mystery of the Chinese Junk” as “Mike Vincent.”
Yeah. Hellfire and Mavrick missiles fired out of a 40mm launcher LOL.
One episode I remember involved the use of copperhead artillery shells as an option.
Airwolf could zip around at mach 1 all the time, fuel was rarely a concern except as a plot point.
