Harvard's Dershowitz, former prosecutor diGenova say the special counsel failed to uncover credible evidence of Trump collusion with Moscow.
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of allegations of collusion between President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russian political and business interests increasingly looks like it is coming up empty, a pair of legal experts said Monday...
Joseph diGenova, a former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia under President Ronald Reagan, said during a separate appearance on the Ingraham program that Mueller's probe should end.
"Whatever purpose it had in the beginning, that purpose has now been served, and it is time for this matter to end," said diGenova (pictured above right).
In fact, diGenova said, there never were legitimate grounds to appoint a special counsel in the first place. He blamed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who gained control over the Russia investigation after Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself due to his involvement in the Trump campaign.
"Rod Rosenstein knew exactly what he was doing when he appointed Mueller without any limitations on his jurisdiction and without any evidence that a predicate crime had been committed," diGenova said. "There was no crime. There was no reason to appoint a special counsel. Rosenstein knew that. I believe he acted purposely and willfully in order to set this in motion."
DiGenova also blasted former CIA Director John Brennan, who criticized Trump over the weekend following Friday's firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. Brennan condemned Trump in a tweet for "venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption" and declared that America would "triumph" over the president.
"The tweet is revelatory for a number of reasons. I have never doubted the partisanship of Brennan, but I thought he was a little smarter than this. Because what this does now is show he had an animus toward Trump while he was the CIA director," he said.
"And it actually makes it more obvious that there has to be a grand jury to investigate the unmaskings and the leaking of the name. When you hate the way John Brennan hated in that tweet, you are capable of very, very bad things," diGenova continued.
But Brennan's tweet could be a "blessing in disguise," he added. "It really showed how, how horrible these people are, just absolutely horrible."

It was empty when rosenstein and sessions appointed mueller to conduct his coup against Trump. No crime whatsoever. Contrast that to the mountain of high crimes and high treason that occurred under the Obama regime. Of course we have no special counsel for that...

At some point the evidence, seeing they are running on empty (and a crime has to be found), will point right at the Obama regime. To this point is has been the dems brazenly using it as a smoke screen, a good defence is the best offence.
For many of their crimes, the time window is passing, and that was their largest intent.
Nope the purpose was to GET Trump. That failed.

mueller probe has been illegal and built on lies to take out a President! ..anything else is not worth talking about. it’s still running because sessions recused himself and put all this into the hands of the ugly enemy.. and because Trump won’t fire them... won’t shut it down.. because the media would crucify him again, over and over.
So the next step is to undermine mueller by telling everyone the rat fink he is .. tell about his past, and to broadcast it to the world.. to label him as the hate filled man he is and to reduce him to a person who no one would believe.. and do the same with comey before his big glory tour begins! Then take them in and bring on the charges.
But thanks to Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Andrew Wilkow..... it is coming out and the sh&t is going to hit the fan!
The special counsel’s reason for being is 3 fold:
1) Embroil the Trump administration with indictments-scandals with the ultimate goal of toppling(impeachment-resignation)
2) Use the special counsel to bury the mountain of high crimes and high treason evidence against Hillary & the O’muslim regime.
3) Show the people what happens if you want to go to work for the Trump administration...You’ll be crucified by the propaganda press and indicted by a soviet-style special counsel. Your house raided in the dark of the night by the goose-steppers of the FBI.

We should feel sorry for the job MULE was tasked to do. Imagine how hard it’s been for MULE to crawl over, around, under and through that YUGE mountain of crimes Obama/Hillary/FBI/DOJ put in his way when they were trying to railroad Trump. Everyday MULE goes out looking for something, anything, Trump might have done, he has to push out of his way all those crimes that keep showing up. Pore MULE, he must be worn out by now. One has to realize that the only crimes that matter are those that surely Trump must have committed. Everyday it’s another jungle for MULE.
