Mitch McConnell committed the cardinal sin of a Senate Majority leader - pushing a budget bill that was opposed by a large plurality of his own party (almost half, infact) and needed massive vote support from the Democrat opposition.

He needs to go.

One way or another, 2018 will probably be the last year for both Mitch and Paul Ryan as the Senate and House leaders.

Got more democrat voting for a republican created bill than republican.

This was a democrat bill. Truly makes you wonder why vote.

And it will run out just before the november elections when we’ll have to go through a similar debacle again... and the elections will be a disaster for the house republicans.

After this it’s hard to see how they’ll keep the house.

Which will lead to either impeachment or Trump will do an Arnold, where he will endorse everything the Rats want thus avoiding impeachment.

y’all see this crap? Even if Trump had vetoed, the Reps wouldn’t have defended his veto - and it would have passed anyway.

Charlatans, all of them.

Texas: Cornyn (R-TX), Yea

OK, that jerk has been a PITA and I am going to push to get him primaried in 2020

Everyone else here needs to check the list and figure out how much work they have in front of themselves in their home state.

Off the couch, out the door and make a LOT of noise.

Some say that Trump got cornered and snookered by not gaming out a response to the bill.

I don’t know how much information he had on the crafted brew we were presented with but I do know that the voter didn’t see this coming and the detail of it.

This was put together by Ryan and McConnell to appease the Democrats and avoid the bad press of having to reappear each 90 days with a continuing resolution. Ryan and McConnell apparently made sure that more solid conservatives did not get a full view of this stinker.

Both Flake and Rand Paul voted against it. I would be curious as to when each had the detail information as to the contents?

“I don’t know how much information he had on the crafted brew we were presented with but I do know that the voter didn’t see this coming and the detail of it.”

Sorry that doesn’t cut it. Every president has a staff of people that coordinate with Congress on major legislation to make sure that whatever is being written is something that the president can go along with.

Claiming ignorance and being blind sided is either pure bologna or incompetence.

TRUMP’S GREAT BETRAYAL SUMMED UP”
Chuck Schumer:

“It’s a funny thing. In a certain sense, we’re able to accomplish more in the minority than we were when we had the presidency or even were in the majority … We don’t have the House, we don’t have the Senate, we don’t have the presidency, but we produced a darn good bill for the priorities we have believed in.”

And a couple of those ten probably voted against it because they weren’t needed. I don’t trust anybody.

“But he’s angry and it’s the last time!”

I guess he thinks saying that “makes it all better”. It doesn’t. And it is the last time since he’ll be back in the private sector before the next opportunity for signing arises

Have you been following the news? Trump’s chief complaint was that it didn’t include amnesty for illegals!

What if I’d told you a year ago that Trump would someday sign a budget bill that had more Republicans than Democrats voting NAY?"

More than a handful of us speculated during and immediately after the election that Trump would be forced to work, with Democrats due to Never Trumpism in the GOP. Of course that may all change after the Midterms (impeachment and removal?)
