The University of Alabama champion Crimson Tide football team showed up for their day at the White House on Tuesday, with several following Coach Nick Saban in saying it was an honor.
“You know, not many people get invited to the White House, so not many people get invited to see the president and meet the president. So this is a special day for our team. A team that is being honored here because of their achievements in terms of winning the college football national championship, which makes me very proud,” said six-time championship winner Saban.
“A special thanks to our president to invite us here and make this a special day for us. President Trump, thank you so much,” he added.
Trump clearly ate it up.

I can’t stand Alabama football, but I do have the utmost respect for Coach Saban.

Everyone on the team is wearing a coat and tie, very appropriate for the event. Congratulations to Coach Saban for the championship and the respect shown by his players.
This actually invoked sympathy from me. Imagine being verbally assaulted and threatened constantly by leftists from all generations. One day a group of celebrated young men show up and they are all respectful and glad to be there.
It must have very much felt like a vacation for the President to be able to step down a notch from constant BS. I hope he loved every second of it.
