#43 & 70 I mentioned the closing to someone and said there was another store nearby called Vallarta Supermarkets.

She said that their meat market used all of the animal and call it hamburger and steak etc. I do not know as I have never been there.

I have been to Super King Markets and their meat market is piled high and I mean piled high with all kinds of meat.
It was not appetizing to me.

“It only takes a relatively small number of shoplifters to cause a grocery store to close down”

I think it’s because of
competitors policies.
This from Wal-Mart-
“The retail giant says it is concentrating on high-dollar losses and will not press charges against shoplifters who steal items less than $25.
Kroger can’t possibly compete.
You are correct in that even small
losses can be devastating.

Yea, here in Dayton Ohio, they want more businesses in the west side. Businesses won’t go there (I think businesses see no profit in drugs , game bangers and treats to their employees).

Now, a major hospital near there is closing. No one wants to say it but free medical care only works in Cuba.

BINGO, even the small niche stores are. Memphis is a War Zone. Don’t Carry, Don’t go. Like every other DEM run big city. Crime, poverty, filth, disease, fatherless feral teens and drug addicts.

Looks like Albertsons owns about the same amount of other grocery stores.

The Randall's near me that is closing was an Albertson's store. It has always sucked and we've always driven a few miles out of our way to go someplace better. The Randall's "Flagship" stores are usually pretty nice. Ours was not a flagship (we called it a Randall's Garbage Scow). Its spot is being replaced with a store called El Rancho, which has previously been in Dallas and is new to Houston.

IMO, the best grocery stores in Houston are the HEB stores. I drive a few miles to get to one. We also have an Aldi in our neighborhood, but they don't carry much variety.
