Trump campaign paid Trump bodyguard Keith Schiller's lawyers, records show

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump's campaign paid more than $66,000 to the law firm that represents Keith Schiller, his former longtime bodyguard, newly filed campaign records show.

Schiller, who left a White House job in September, testified to the House Intelligence Committee in November that someone made an offer to send five women to Trump's hotel room in Moscow in the lead-up to the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.

Two people familiar with the matter told NBC News that Schiller painted the incident in a light favorable to Trump, saying he turned down the offer on Trump's behalf, treated it as a joke and no women ever came, as far as he was aware. It is presumed by congressional investigators that Schiller told the same story to special counsel Robert Mueller.

Stuart Sears, a lawyer for Schiller, said he could not comment on whether the Trump campaign's payment was related to Schiller's legal fees.

Federal election law allows the use of campaign money for legal fees, but only if the fees are related to a matter connected to the campaign, legal experts say.

The Trump campaign spent $834,000 on legal fees during the first quarter of 2018, federal campaign records show — about 20 percent of total spending.

Has Rod Rosenstein approved a warrant so the FBI can raid Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer’s office? There are criminal complaints filed against Weinstein in the Southern NY District Court. In 2015, his lawyer, David Boies, another Clinton/Gore crony, donated $10,000 to the political coffers of Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance, Jr. (D), after Vance announced that Weinstein would face no charges after being accused of groping by a young Italian model named Ambra Battilana. She had filed a complaint with the NYPD. So where’s the raid on Boies’ home and office?

People seem to forget that Donald Trump personally financed much of his campaign with his own private funds

Maybe next year, after the election, we will have some Republicans in office who will shut Mueller down.

I think Rush is right; it is time for Trump to pardon every single person that Mueller even thinks about.

Then Trump can go on national TV and challenge the Snake to put forth his evidence.

Then Trump can declassify all the evidence that the FBI and the DOJ is hiding.

Get this over.

Then fire Sessions and get someone on Uranium One.

So what.

The “news” is committing suicide with this junk pretending to be news.

Good. Last poll I saw said 70% of Americans don’t trust news media. If they keep it up, it will be 80% soon. Of course some who don’t trust it are pinko commies, but most are normies.

If true, this shows good character on the part of Trump.

What, no “six pack” of women! Forget it.

Great idea. I’m sure the voters in the next election would look favorably on your idea if President Trump does as you suggest.

“...on your idea...”

It is not mine, it is Rush’s, and most people who like Trump. Of course, if you prefer the Left to try to continue to destroy Trump...

Schiller gave a rare interview on Rush’s show last fall. He said the same thing there.
