That’s why you need to get him comfortable enough to eat while the dish is next to your feet, so you’re above him and not in front of him. He can’t see your hand while his face is buried in the food. :-)
I hope that thing on her face can be dealt with too. I do worry about surgery because she’s old and has a heart murmur but that thing will have to be removed if it’s benign. It’s big. Fortunately she doesn’t seem to know it’s there because she hasn’t scratched it ....... yet.
I’m workin’ on it. He just never really lets me out of sight. It’s going to take a long time!

It does take a long time when they’ve been wild so long. But it can be done. It just takes time to gain his trust and that’s done in baby steps. But it’s worth the effort.
It’s not going to be too chilly this week. Just damp. And right now it’s windy as heck. I just stepped out to toss some cans in the trash and was shocked it’s blowing so hard.
We have a brief break in the rain at the moment but more’s closing in. There was an inch and a half in the gauge when I dumped it at midnight.
DH should get a break shortly and those poor soaked birds will appreciate it. Bless River’s eagle heart trying to keep that large eaglet dry. She’s such a great mom.

Peg handled almost all the paperwork. Mom told both of us separately to not forget the $100 bills in the Bible. Of course we have found none, but because she loved moving things around we’ve had to go through all books as well.

ROTFL! I feel your pain! We had to do the same thing in Clara’s mess and still haven’t gone through all her books.
Never found any money stashed in them but you can’t ignore the fact that was common practice to people in that age group. We did find a few dollars stuck in envelopes that had other papers in them.
You have to look through EVERYTHING. Fun, huh? Good move getting Peg to do it. :-)
Laundry done, Peg’s box packed, dishes rounded up and washed, and now I’m headed to the shower and then bed.
