#Drunk Judge. Only took about 3 years to remove her from the bench after many, many violations, zero work done and PAID (to the tune of 182K + a year) leave.
If it had been anyone else who didn't "tick all the boxes" they would have been dumped on day one!!!

I did not know it was illegal to buy a shotgun.
With that said: Astacio has 30 days to either accept or appeal the Commissions ruling. If she accepts the decision, her pay will stop immediately. If she appeals the decision to the New York State Court of Appeals, she will receive her $187,200 salary until the Court of Appeals acts on her appeal.
Gee, I wonder which option she will choose...

If she accepts the decision, her pay will stop immediately. If she appeals ... she will receive her $187,200 salary until the Court of Appeals acts on her appeal. The appeal process usually takes three to five months. I suspect she'll appeal.

And she’s done zero “work” for 2 years. Just one big extremely well paid vacay.

Asticao hasn’t heard a case in two years but still received her $175,000. salary, recently raised to $187,000 (almost $3,600 per week).
Outrageous but, sadly, typical for taxpayer-funded ‘elites’ in every aspect of government. Big money, little work and only rarely, any accountability.
This ex-judge pushed her privilege too far and forced the system to remove her.
Good riddance.

As others have posted... she will definitely appeal. She has been dragging this out and flicking both middle fingers to everyone involved. Has hired and fired so many attorneys to represent her it would make your head spin.
Oh and of course the race, ethnicity and sexism card was thrown out at the onset.

They do this in that part of the country as actually firing someone has been stupidly written into the laws by the powers that be...
They call this I believe the Rubber room treatment, and not the loony bin just give them someplace to go or just chill and still get paid. Happens more than you would believe.
Government at it’s worst to be sure

She’s been a bit niggardly in attention to her duties it seems.

NY TAXPAYERS are *stoopid*. They defend idiots, thieves and thugs in office and actually pay them to prove it, with taxpayer cash and votes.

I will drag out to six.
This pig has 30 days to decide, which on day 29 she will appeal, then it will take them ANOTHER FIVE MONTHS to decide to can her arse.
Then there is the election.... If she doesn’t drag it out then the appointed replacement has to seek re-election in November (by law)
If the date passes where the candidate has to file petitions, it will be the following year. So look for them to drag this out until mid-October.
