Tokyo Family Keeps Grandfather Around to Collect Checks
In 2010, Tokyo resident Sogen Kato lived to see his 111th birthday, making him the oldest man in town. When local officials went to his house to honor him, they were turned away by family members. Upon investigation, police found Kato's mummified skeletal remains dressed in pajamas lying in his bed, where they had been for an estimated 30 years.
As for their side of the story, Kato's daughter and granddaughter claimed innocence. They said the Man of the House had retreated to his bedroom more than three decades ago to become a "living Buddha," shutting himself behind a door that couldn't be opened from the outside without food or water. Fair enough... But after his wife died in 2004, Kato began receiving widower's pension payments, totaling more than $100,000 – nearly 3/4 of which was withdrawn by the time his body was discovered. Kato's grandaughter, Tomiko, was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for fraud, but never served time. What she did do is live for 30 years in a house with a dead body.

You got that reversed. If McCain leaves office June 1 or later, the governor appoints someone who will be up for re-election in 2020.
If he leaves before June 1, the Governor appoints someone and the seat will be up THIS November.

Unfortunately, whatever good he did in his life was completely wiped out by the dossier stunt and killing the attempt to repeal Obamacare.
He’s made a third career out of dying—Milking it for all the sympathy he can get.
My sincere hope is that he roasts when he finally makes his long overdue exit.

Here is a great example of poor judgement. Either he colluded with Hillary, knew how it was funded, and knew is was unlawfully piped through Perkins-Coie as "legal work" disguised as oppo research, or, he felt is was all accurate, properly collected, vetted by foriegn intelligence, which documented activities that resulted in Russia handing the White House to a corrupt, evil, Donald J. Trump. Is there a third way to look at this?
When I read stuff about the pee dossier and his comments about it; it shows that this man lost his way a long, long time ago.

I heard only good things about the young McCain, went off to Iraq during the campaign, but seldom on the news.

The opposite. If he croaks before the end of the month, someone will be appointed until the election in November. If he croaks after the end of the month, Cindy is granted the seat without having to face the voting public. He’s probably dead and they’re stalling so that can happen. They want her entrenched for a few years so the public gets used to the idea.
