It will be interesting to see if there has been any kind of attitude shift in CA this year.

he wasn’t sure if Trump was a conservative

I wasn’t sure if Trump was a conservative, and I'm still not sure. All I am sure of is that President Trump is the best person alive for the job at this time.

There are millions and millions of more registered Democrat voters in California than Republicans. A 600-pound transgendered whore Pygmy Eskimo illegal alien actress with 2 heads would have a better shot at becoming California governor than any GOP member. A GOP candidate for CA governor is a complete waste of time and money. Complete. Commie Gavin “Twosome” Newsome is a dead on lock for governor, between the massive number of Dem voters and all the union money the CA Dems have locked up.

There are two factors going on in California. First, a fair number of people are fed up with crime, the housing costs, sanctuary status, and increasing taxes within the state. But there’s a second group who’ve said ‘enough’ and are packing up.

I’ve followed a number of stories from around the San Francisco area, where long-time residents (leaning GOP types) are reaching 60-to-65, retiring, and leaving the state. I would take a guess that since the 2016 election....probably 10,000 of these GOP have left from the surround area of San Francisco.

Travis Allen seems that better candidate Cox and Allen will probably cancel each other out. That will leave Newsom and Villagrosa to battle it out in Nov.

Villagrosa isn’t leaving it to chance. His campaign sent a mailer yesterday essentially saying a vote for Cox is really a vote for Newsom as Cox has no chance in the general election (true) and that he is the “Moderate” Democrat the State needs.

The political TV ads are gearing up in Kali. with the Rats saying they are the Progressive Candidate of choice. I can’t recall previous election years were anyone just flat came out and said “Progressive” aka Socialist. Maybe I missed them in 2014/2016?

The DEMOCRATS set it up so that only Democrats can win.

Only the top two vote getters will be on the ballot in November. Since they combined all parties into one list the likely outcome will be that the voters will only have a choice between two Democrats.

Why Republicans have not taken this to the courts I don’t know (when the voters changed the State Constitution via the initiative process a court ruled the vote UNCONSTITUTIONAL and tossed the election results. Yet this law effectively prevents a segment of voters from having their choice on the ballot.

Why should you expect one? The state went to Hillary by a 30 point margin.

President Trump endorsed GOP California gubernatorial candidate and businessman John Cox on Friday,

A Trump rally or two in CA might seal the deal.

Sorry to break it to FReepers from other states, but my beloved California is now the state of Northern Mexico.

In the state of Northern Mexico, there are no illegal aliens in the United States, only Mexican citizens. Elections in the state of Northern Mexico might have the appearance of being US elections, but they aren't in practice. Communism was always more welcome in South and Central America than in the United States. This explains why the former US state of California is now run by and for communists.

Republicans don't stand a chance, partly because they have spent more time fighting each other during the years when Mexico stole California from us, than fighting the invasion. Now it's too late for Republicans to do much of anything there anymore.

GOP needs the 2nd spot in June’s primary or they are shut out..
In some Congressional districts so many Democrats may split vote and 2Gop could take top spots. Or a far left winger go against Republican who is better fit to district.

IMHO, CA is close to being a lost cause. CA FReepers have my sympathy. The Democrats have used CA as their playground and we can all see what is happening. Cali is an excellent example of over the top liberal progressiveness. The Cali experience represents the absolute best the Democrats have to offer. Live and learn America.

Even if Mr. Cox were elected Governor, he stands little chance of making a difference since the state is so corrupted by the Democrats.

I got my Calif. election ballot info last week. I think there are about 32 people running for governor in the open primary. Maybe I should have run just to say I did.
