My fellow Democrats are increasingly becoming the kind of low-information voters they despise and think are only on the other side.
I am an ordinary voter living far from the Beltway who feels gaslighted by our political and media establishments regarding the Russia investigation. Our current Yanny versus Laurel political moment is probably confusing even for professional political commentators. But for ordinary Americans it is a bewildering, disorienting spectacle.
Which is it: Is Donald Trump a threat to the republic, or is the deep state the threat? Was the Russia investigation legit, or was it concocted by an out-of-control Federal Bureau of Investigation and Central Intelligence Agency? Was it an FBI “informant,” or was it a “spy”?
Has America become Venezuela, as Republicans say, because the Obama administration spied on the campaign of a political adversary? Or has it become Venezuela, as Democrats say, because our current president is attacking his investigators?
The answers to the above questions depend on which camp one is in. In our hyperpartisan times, each side has its own narrative.

You know how easy it is for Russia to screw with the U.S at this point? They can keep slipping just enough false evidence to manipulate the U.S Congress - POTUS relationship.
Sorry but their designs were not noble and not for Americans, including their own voters. They wanted to subvert the Constitutional Republic and betray all Americans, including their supporters, to steal the Republic for themselves and feed off it like ticks. Very, very important distinction.
They did not do this for any such noble aims as a misguided attempt at saving the democracy. They attempted rape and were thwarted, and tried to frame the cop who stopped the rape. 2/3 of the cop's own police department are still trying to frame him.
Trouble is most of the Democrats AREN’T reasonable, but are paranoid nutcases that actually believe the garbarge that CNN-NYT-MSN etc. are spewing out about Russian interference. They genuinely believe Trump is a Russian agent!

For a so-called honest/any democrat to question the party line is like Salman Rusdie publishing “The Satanic Verses”.
It comes with death threats and a destruction that few are prepared for.

Yes, it is nice to see that ONE person got it. She wrote a very reasonable article. I have not run into any Dems so far who are starting to question the Trump-Russia hoax, but this gives some small hope.
I’ve read entire article. It’s good and honest writing. I hope many democrats, for the sake of our country, stand with us and Trump to expose those radical democrats
Lousy piece. She makes a big deal over her waffling just like the fabled independent voter. She is lib trying to be virtuous by equally weighing both sides.
What she is trying to say is that she lives among “normals” and she has to justify her Trump derangement.
