Trump has spent more visiting Mar-a-Lago than Mueller has on Russia probe
The Hill ^ | 6/2/18 | John Bowden

Posted on 06/03/2018 4:37:10 AM PDT by DoodleDawg

The president has repeatedly attacked the Mueller probe for racking up millions of dollars in expenditures, doing so most recently this week after the Justice Department reported that the special counsel's office had spent roughly $16.7 million on expenses in just over a year of investigation.

"A.P. has just reported that the Russian Hoax Investigation has now cost our government over $17 million, and going up fast. No Collusion, except by the Democrats!" Trump tweeted Friday.

But that number is dwarfed by the amount required to pay for the president's numerous trips to the "Winter White House," which Washington Post and Politico analyses have estimated to cost taxpayers on average between $1 million and $3 million dollars per trip.

As of Dec. 26, Trump had spent 39 days at Mar-a-Lago in 2017. Trump took his 17th trip to the property in April, according to Town and Country magazine.

You knew that as soon as someone reported on the cost of the Mueller investigation the media would dredge this up.

Now the Hill can show us how brave they are and compare it to all the cost the Obama MUTTS spent on family vacation time.

Trump surpassed the pace of Obama's golf outings, making 56 total trips so far compared to Obama's 37 at the same point ...

[H]is visits to Mar-a-Lago have been 'work' excursions.

"He is not vacationing when he goes to Mar-a-Lago. The president works nonstop every day of the week, no matter where he is"

As opposed to Obama, who vacationed nonstop no matter where he was.

...Except he is the President of the United States.

Knowing how the Federal Gov’t (doesn’t) work, $17 million for the Mueller’s operation is no surprise. The real issue is how much was spent to produce so little/nothing and while “investigating” in all the wrong places. Besides, Mueller wouldn’t make it in private practice with this cost model.

The Hill’s article is a deflection tactic.

And with that verbal slight-of-hand The Hill concocts an expense from thin air.

The Obamunist and Hitleryian Rotten Clintonite investigation of Trump has been funded by US taxpayers since 2016, not June of 2017.

Lying liars are gonna lie.

It’s like saying that you can exclude the price of the appetizers from the meal since it wasn’t the main course.

So all the sudden the Washington Post and Politico care about how taxpayer dollars are spent.

Yesterday their excuse is that those people were going to be paid whether or not they were investigating Trump.

They didn’t buy that argument when it’s said that the military is paid whether or not there is a war.

I don’t blame the president for spending so much time at Mar-a-lago. The White House is full of spies and leakers.

This is an accounting trick. It assumes that if the president hadn’t done (fill in the blank) that no costs would have been incurred. However, the people being paid are on the job no matter where the president is. So, much of the costs beyond fuel and wear and tear are irrelevant.

I suspect he has been advised that the White House is not secure from deep state snooping.

This is from a press which had no problem whatsoever with Obama having separate taxpayer-paid flights for his DOG.

The man working 16 hours a day to save the republic deserves far more time off and relaxation than the army of Democrat scum beavering away to destroy the Republic.

It is incomprehensible to the class conscious peons that the palace like Mara-Lago is home.

Living in a 7th floor apartment a presstitute can’t tolerate the concept of such a home. Unlike obama, the President Trump goes home to play golf on his own golf course and invites such as Japan’s Abe to visit and relax.

Moochie Obama spent millions and millions on just one vacation.

And she took a lot of them all over the world.

Where were the leftist whiners back then?

If Trump spent 39 days at Mar a Lago in 2017, how many days did the Congress spend in recess?

A whole lot more than they spent in session.
