Roberts ruling noted it and the text of the act stated it was a tax in several places.
Still sucks though.

Yep!

Immunity comes with conditions and limitations that must be followed.

Once immunity is granted via the proper channels, can the government arbitrarily rescind immunity for no cause? Yes, but any information gathered under immunity cannot be used against the defendant. And that was the question.

Exactly, except now we know about their ULTRA. Time to defang it by removing everyone they control from the levers of power. or exposing all they know about them and accept the fact that these are falible men and women, and not infallible gods...

The very existence of the republic is at stake.

I've never replied to you, so this should be a new experience. Perhaps you've seen some of my posts where I put forth the argument that an attempted coup is in actuality an act of war. In other words, treason: levying, aiding and providing comfort to the enemy, regardless if foreign or domestic.

One of my other points is that compared to this nation's previous wars, the Hussein treason is the closest this country come to defeat. Shall we review? What were the war aims of the Confederacy, Germany (WWI & II), Japan and the USSR? Did they include, at any level, an actual imposition of foreign dictation through control of government? The answer, including the Soviet union, is an unequivocal NO.

But what were the war aims of the deep state conspiracy? Where they, in fact, exactly targeted at assuming full spectrum control of the entire government apparatus to dictate terms to the sovereign (We the People)? The answer, of course, is YES. This is the type of logic we need to educate others on the seriousness of events.

So why isn’t this frontpage news all over the country???

If you think the blackmail files on wary politicians are juicy, you should see the ones on the naïve media owners, editors and even the talking airheads!

You get all our oconus lures approved? ;)

What possible reason could there be for redacting the word "lures," other than to engage in a coverup?

It’s all OUR fault, Hussein was just ten to twenty years ahead of his times.

He told us that last week, via the NY times.

I'm pretty sure the Bill originated in the Senate. Once Roberts determine it was a tax the Bill should have been null and void. Tax Bills must originate out of the House not the Senate.

Technically, the bill did originate in the House, but was converted into a container by the Senate when they amended it to gut its entire contents.

From Wikipedia:

The United States Constitution requires all revenue-related bills to originate in the House. To formally comply with this requirement, the Senate used H.R. 3590, a bill regarding housing tax changes for service members. It had been passed by the House as a revenue-related modification to the Internal Revenue Code. The bill became the Senate's vehicle for its healthcare reform proposal, discarding the bill's original content.

This was challenged in the courts as a violation of the origination clause in the Constitution, but was ruled against by the lower courts by saying that Obamacare was not a "revenue-raising" tax bill, but that the "tax" was only a means to pay for the plan and not to raise general revenue for the Treasury. The Supreme Court declined to hear the case.

Liberals hailed the ruling, praised the method by Harry Reid to convert an unrelated tax bill as a "routine maneuver," and declared that it was not an attempt to usurp the House's revenue-raising power.

Using the FBI to spy on political enemies brought down the Nixon administration. People ought to go to prison for this.

[full title] REVEALED: Mitch McConnell’s In-Laws Bought 10 Massive Ships from the Chinese Government Since His Wife Elaine Chao Became Transportation Secretary

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) in-laws have ordered 10 massive cargo ships from the Chinese government since the senator’s wife Elaine Chao became Secretary of Transportation. The deep financial ties between the Chao family’s shipping business Foremost Group and the Chinese regime were first revealed in the #1 New York Times bestseller Secret Empires.

Foremost has yet to disclose the financial details of its latest deals with CSSC. Similar transactions with CSSC have recently cost over $47 million per vessel, a price that would place the total value of the Foremost deals at nearly half a billion dollars. Under current federal disclosure laws, which do not apply to adult relatives, Secretary Chao and Senator McConnell are not required to report their family’s dealings with a major foreign military contractor.

Secretary Chao is known to be extremely close with her father, who claims that she calls him nightly and involves him in official administration events “as often as she can.”

They were targeting EVERY opposing candidate from the day they first mentioned the possibility of running.

I've always believed that, too. So why aren't the other candidates all over the airwaves complaining about it?

I can understand incumbents keeping a low profile while they're in office, like Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Graham, Kasich, and Carson; but where are Gingrich, Christie, Bush, and Fiorina? Especially Carly Fiorina, as she was the other private citizen who ran; why isn't she speaking out?
