LOL, this reminds me of Jocelyn Elders (remember her?) nattering on about how we could make safer bullets. I guess this judge thinks we can make safer knives! What a dope.
Ha!
...Pointless...
I get it!
A Shive in prison is easily made.
Stabbings and throat slashing can still be done without a sharp point.
All sense of reason has forsaken the Isle of Man.
No, the solution to knife crime is to remove the Muslims who overwhelmingly commit it in Britain.
Pardon the pun.
The endgame for the Left is always to get rid of the bad people. They have a long, long list.
In Asia, knife crime almost always involves one of these
This is common sense knife control.
However, I’m a bit surprised that Her Majesty’s Government didn’t start by requiring pointy knife registration. I suppose the British population is sufficiently obedient to comply even if there isn’t a knife registry.
What a pathetic situation.
I didn’t catch it at first but he said that the “point”, not the person was causing the crime. So pointy knives are walking around town and attacking people?
Leave the knives, remove the Muslims.
This judge is brilliant! In the spirit of cooperation with our British friends, I propose removing gun muzzles as a means to prevent shootings. Thank you for showing us the way.
Has the idiot ever heard of a file?
Ya know, Britain deserves to be taken over by the muzzies when they enable idiots like this in positions of power.
I don’t know from personal experience, but I’m thinking a person can still slit someone’s throat with a knife without a point. But then, I’m sure I’m not as well-educated as this judge.
And if that doesn’t work I think we should connect all knives to the internet and have them deploy and automatic point protector anytime they are handled and notify the police if the point protector fails to deploy.
That will certainly solve this problem once and for all (and if not we can think of some other work around for the problem of people not behaving the way we want).
Brilliant!
Of course it’s not an implement problem. They understand it just fine, but their worldview prohibits them from making the observation, because to do so would expose all the lies they’ve been telling about “those” people, e.g. mostly “Asians”, who make up the vast majority of perpetrators.
On the other hand, they can’t be seen doing nothing about the problem, thus you get these nonsensical attacks on the shape of knives. When this is put in place and predictably has no effect on crime, they’ll go after knives with edges next, as though it weren’t already illegal to attack people with knives of any kind. After that it’ll be blunt objects.
One could almost suspect that this was the Hegelian Dialect at work, tying the bonds of dictatorship ever-tighter around the UK populace in the name of “controlling violent crime” through measures that only affect the law-abiding public.
Yep, pointless solution.
LOL. I figured someone would come up with just such an astute observation as yours.
