Why is it sooooo important to do this thing that polls show the people to be against?

Because all the RINOs who are retiring are willing to vote with Democrats to force it through, following their Kochsucker paymasters' orders. If they want those cushy lobbying positions after retirement, they better go along.

Of course Trump could CRUSH them like a bug if he told the most senior among them that if they oppose him, he will MAKE SURE their lobbying firm is BLACKLISTED by the entire Executive branch for the remainder of his presidency. NO access. NO influence. DEAD. But he won't do it.

Gee, don’t they have one of those things that they’re all supposed to agree on as party members. PLATFORM. That’s it. I bet there’s all kinds of stuff about immigration and borders that in that platform but only half of repugs truly agree with. There ought to be some sort of penalty for voting against your own platform.

Build the WALL; kick ALL of their behinds OUT. That’s what WE want. Americans and America FIRST. Congress seems to have forgotten who they work for and for what they work for. I am done with both parties. Is President Trump and a small minority the only people in DC who understands this?

Trump has already made an offer that would have given the 'Dreamers' and elongated path to citizenship. This was to get all the things he wanted along with it.

The no-how-no-way-never has already left the building. The question is how much, if anything, will be in the bill for what Trump demands.

If it isn't there, then we will hear from Trump. Period.

Yes, and Trump has always been open about this.

You build me the wall, and I’m willing to cut breaks to some people.

When you read the story the headline is misleading . . . what a surprise! Trump SEEMS to be supporting. An AP article can NEVER be taken at face value anymore.

Ryan should follow Sessions, out the door.

Trump has not “always” been open to amnesty. He was opposed to DACA before being elected, was going to end it “on day one.” He changed his position after being elected.

Making a deal with the Devil is more reliable than one with Paul Ryan. Pres. Trump should realize that.

If Ryan is for an immigration plan then you can safely assume it’s bad.

For GOPe swamp creatures it’s a win win. They get to please their money people and at the same time weaken Trump by disillusioning his most loyal and vocal supporters.

All these things you mention (chain migration, lottery, run-of-the-mill illegal entry, etc.) will continue as is without any plan at all, correct?

The longer this drags on, the more this continues.

But then again Reagan made a good faith effort to get a handle on the problem but got stabbed in the back anyway.

Can we trust the Dems and RINOs to live up to their agreements? I think not.

Deport them all and be done with it.

Because the Bush League Republicans just need one more amnesty to complete the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA)

He changed his position after being elected.

During the campaign he did a TV town hall with Hannity and said he’d be open to doing something for the DACA kids. So he was changing his position befor he got elected.

No truer words were ever spoken.

Hasn’t Ryan spewed out that line about presidential support (only to be corrected) before?
