I like Jackie Evanchp’s rendition the best. Look it up on YouTube and enjoy.
I was raised and lived in the UNITED STATES my entire life. We play football and baseball!! We don’t give a crap about soccer in any form. It is a nothing in this country , If you like soccer, move to a country that cares!!
Music to lay on the ground and hold your shin by.
jk - great tune.
” It is a nothing in this country “

Maybe where you live but I know lots of people who love soccer———and all neighborhoods have kids who play the game-——rugby and lacrosse are also popular.
Soccer has been around for many years.

.
I hate soccer like the flu. Soccer is a great girly sport.
I’m with you. I like sports where people use their hands.
Pavarotti w/Mehta conducting.
Pavarotti also sung Nessun Dorma at the opening of the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006.
Solid gold babe.
Get a grip, man. Not everyone has to like what you like or dislike what you dislike. A few deep breaths might help you. But, hey, at least you convinced me that professional football really is the all-American, patriotic sport—so much better than that anti-American soccer. I guess I’ll start watching that pro-American NFL, thugs and all, instead so I won’t need to move to another country...
Although Pavarotti’s unfortunately been dead for over a decade and Carreras is in semi-retirement, I read somewhere that Domingo is performing at the World Cup gala this year at 77 years of age. Good for him.
Im sorry . I just destest kick ball. It is for very young girls. . Get it off my screen. It is so weak.
I say bring the head back into football. I mean the
Helmet!!
Football is the only sport on earth thats a true universal language - it transcends all national barriers. If you know nothing else in a strange land, and cant speak the language to save your life if you offer to play football, you will be instantly welcomed and feel like youre a part of the family. Its like a language that everyone understands - it needs no translation because the rules for playing it are the same no matter where are you are.
In a way, next to Shakespeare, the one export from England that was adopted by the entire planet was football. A game originally played only by Englishmen became a game played by people the world over. No other sport has the ability to bring people together like football and its fans speak a common language. And that is language being spoken for the next month in Russia.
If you read the article you will learn something. You may even just enjoy the Steyn’s style.
I don’t know how baseball, which you like, is supposed to be more “manly” than soccer. At least in soccer the players can tackle each other (so long as they kick the actual ball rather than players legs) and there is constant activity requiring stamina (not to mention the greater strategy required to win). Baseball is not a contact sport at all and most of the players spend very long stretches inactive or nearly so. If were judging sports by girliness (a ridiculous measurement anyway in my opinion) then surely baseball is at least as girly and “weak” as soccer...although really neither are imo.
Football might be more manly because of the frequent tackling, but Ive heard fans of rugby and Australian football claim that American football is girly and for the weak and afraid because of the massive padding used in the game. Its all in the eye of the beholder. And, hey, they put things on TV all the time I dont like. You just have to bear with other people having different tastes sometimes.
Steyn and soccer fans have too much time on their hands.
“No other sport has the ability to bring people together like football and its fans speak a common language.”
I agree completely. It’s a game for globalists.
