I doubt that IQ’s have declined at all if you control for ethnicity. U.S. average IQ has probably declined because our demographics are shifting rapidly to lower IQ population pools, due mainly to immigration.
I would strongly suggest people get a netflix account if they are currently subsidizing CNN (they have any kind of cable TV package). Best option is to drop all of it.
What kind of a chore would it be to just get rid of the Dept. of Education? It would save money & might accomplish a lot of other good things as well.
You take the Right and take away reason and accountability.
Since 1975 people have had to do less complex problem solving or thinking and now need only know the PC line. I mean literally. You don’t need IQ to toe the line.
Someone her once said that the colleges are using the movie "Idiocracy" as a training film, and the novel "1984" as a manual.
My wife is an ex teacher. She would agree with that 100%.
Since 1975. Pretty close to where I called our civilizations peak. When we landed a man on the moon. Been down hill ever since. There is no way in bizarro world this generation could duplicate what that generation did with the tools it had.
I think the heritability of high intelligence is doubtful. Of course, the outworking of high intelligence can be stymied by a dysfunctional home life.
One of the main NYC rags ran this headline, and showed a picture of a white girl on the cover for the story. Fake news...not that they’re passing people with 30s, but which people they’re passing.
Those “studies” play two critical roles: Boosting the GPAs of said victims (critical for aid), and awarding meaningless degrees to said victims to allow them to apply for the ever-increasing number of jobs that require “a degree”. An illiterate token will now have at least the basic requirement to be hired as a cop in many places now - or be commissioned as an officer in the military. The additional testing is just ignored/removed to fill a pre-determined number of slots with said illiterates.
It is difficult to tease out the impact of environment vs heredity on intelligence.
It is also difficult to tease out motivated vs unmotivated learners (which in turn could be come combination of environment and heredity).
My own experience suggest that environment may limit intelligence but cannot increase it above a certain level. In other words, if you are born dumb and lazy all the educational opportunity in the world won’t make you smart.
