With apologies, I did not mean to send that privately. I clicked on the wrong box by mistake and didn’t catch it.
It always amazes me what followers are willing to accept in their leaders.
Clinton’s followers were willing to accept likely rape, most likely a criminal enterprise with gangland killings, other high crimes... Bush’s followers had no problem with open borders and him play footsies with the globalists. The North American Union wasn’t a problem for them. Obama’s followers didn’t care if he invited Islamic Terrorists into the Oval Office for consultations, and appointed some of them to government positions.
Now we see people like Cruz, Beck, and Levin excused for either doing their best to destroy Trump’s standing, or take a complete pass on taking any action to prevent Hillary Clinton from being president.
You and I are a lot more selective in who gets our respect, and it always has limits. And we will always speak out against the likes of Hillary Clinton, and make sure that person never becomes president.
Some folks just don’t operate that way, sadly...
.
Truth is a rare commodity when Doughty is in troll mode!
Cruz and Levin at all times were doing their best for the American people.
They stand taller than any other current public figure in protecting our constitutional governance.
Without Ted Cruz’ efforts we would be subject to the whims of the world court, and our right to own and bear arms would be a disproven myth.
Without Cruz’ brilliant amicus, the Heller decision would have gone up in smoke.
Get real please!
.
.
For exactly what do you wish Levin to be “held accountable?”
He has done so much for this nation, its a bit difficult to guess. His list od positive contributions goes back into the ‘70s.
.
He’s right Pelham.
Levin only sold out the nation once.
Who cares if all it take is once?
He’s a swell guy.
For the record, this is the same argument all traitors families use. Hey, he was such a great guy. Give him a break...
.
Doughty is the sellout.
Levin constantly brings the simple truth, whether you like it or not. He has never “sold out” the nation.
Denying reality to protect your infatuation puts you in the same boat with all the fascist crybabies.
Let me get this straight, in that head of yours it makes sense to call me a sellout for backing what looks like the best president in our history, and it looks like a true patriot to have opposed him for a year on the air, trashing him non-stop?
I realize some folks think the Goebels strategy works, but that’s only if you don’t know the Goebel’s strategy and fall for it.
I do know it, and I’m not falling for it.
As usual, if anyone wants off this ping list, just drop me a FReep-mail.
.
While I concurr with your assessment of Trump, that has absolutely nothing to do with your insane assertions WRT the patriots that have kept us free.
Apples and Oranges.
Your hatred is irrational, and completely out of order.
Okay, then you agree that Trump is perhaps our best president ever.
At the same time, you still tell me that Levin bears no responsibility at this point in time, for having spent over a year doing his best to convince every individual in his listening audience, that Trump was unacceptable for President of the United States.
Evidently you don’t realize, that many of those people were so turned off by Levin (a man they trusted), that they still found themselves not able to vote for the type of person Levin had told them Trump was, even after Levin reluctantly said he’d vote for him.
I don’t have to hate Levin to see him for what he was.
He was a man doing the Left as big a favor as he could have at that time, barring telling his audience he was going to vote for Hillary.
I’m going to keep reminding people of that.
It’s true. This forum is dedicated to truth.
A little prickly today, E-S... did you skip naptime?
And what Patriots are those, exactly? And what brave acts did they perform to keep us free?
“Levin constantly brings the simple truth, whether you like it or not.”
??
Levin?
Levin is a guy who makes a good living yakking on the radio, and cranking out mediocre books on subjects covered far better by actual conservative scholars.
.
You’re as weird as doughty!
Mediocre books?
In whose opinion?
He is one of the top conservative scholars; definitively so.
Perhaps tyou prefer the Buckley snobish sniffing? He was an elitist, and far from a conservative.
.
>> “And what brave acts did they perform to keep us free?” <<
How about saving the Heller descision from Kennedy’s wobble?
Or extracting us from the jurisdiction of the World Court to which Bush has just delivered us?
Sleep on.
.
You have made false accusations, unrelated to facts.
You wouldn’t know a fact if one rode a steel spear up your rectum!
“He is one of the top conservative scholars; definitively so.”
James McLellan, President of the Center for Judicial Studies, was a top conservative scholar of the Constitution.
Forrest McDonald, professor of history at Alabama, was a top conservative scholar on the Constitution and the early National Period.
Mel Bradford, professor at the University of Dallas, was a top conservative scholar on the founding era and the theory of Constitutional strict constructionism.
Paul Gottfried, professor of humanities at Elizabethtown College, is a top conservative scholar of conservative philosophy and political history.
Mark isn’t remotely in their league. He just happens to be the only name you know because he has a radio and tv show.
Your lack of an ability to actually address an issue you disagree with, other than that you are unhappy, doesn’t impress.
Look at your post there. You’re actually pleased with that on the forum under your name.
People confuse “Conservative Incorporated” folks like Mark, who hawk books & his radio show, which is fine by the way, but has nothing to do with real scholarship.
Let’s not confuse Mark Levin with Someone like Russell Kirk.
Conservative Incorporated.. the apt phrase for commercializers trying to create conservative sheep to shear.
In the 1980s if you subscribed to NR you also got a small publication from Russell Kirk called The University Bookman.
There were some great writers contributing to NR back then. Try finding the likes of an Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn or a Thomas Molnar or a Joseph Sobran writing for that worthless rag today.
Looks like the Bookman still exists online, don’t know if it’s still as good:
http://www.kirkcenter.org/bookman/
Like you, I received NR in the 1980s when it was still held to high standards. I knew trouble was brewing with them when people like John O’Sullivan & Peter Brimelow were axed & the beginning of the end of defending our borders & immigration laws was truly at hand.
These assorted hucksters who people the conservative movement now were exquisitely exposed by Trump. The stupid ones went down fast. The smart ones were able to dance on the tightrope & save face.
That's exactly why and when I quit subscribing to NR.
.
There’s no issue to address.
You’re just spouting off with clearly false accusations against our two most dependable patriotic gad flies.
Have mommie put some Bactine on it.
