IIRC, years ago there was an episode of Hawaii-Five-O and the perp was known to have no fingerprints. The cops were baffled! And then someone realized that the perp worked at a pineapple plantation — the acid had etched away his prints. And that narrowed down the list of suspects and they caught the guy — because he left evidence by leaving no evidence.
