“fraud”
As I understand it, totalitarian countries have this mechanism and, interestingly enough, the incumbent tends to get over 90% of the vote.
Two points:
1. Most states require those registering to vote to make an affirmative statement supporting the country. Automatic registration does away with that.
2. This violates the Freedom to NOT register enjoyed by those who follow our laws but do not want complicity with the governing process, as is their right. Jehovah’s Wittnesses fall into this category.
All i got to do is say my name and the street i live on and a voting sheet is handed to me.
i could be anybody...
Regarding questionable automatic voter registration, if patriots support Pres. Trump in leading the states to repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments, and politically force the corrupt feds to surrender state powers that they have been stealing from the states for the last 70+ years back to the states, then consider this.
Noting that one of the very few powers that the states have actually expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds to control an aspect of domestic policy is to manage the US Mail Service (1.8.7), citizens will probably lose peacetime interest in the federal government to the extent that citizens might not be able to name who the current president is, even after three guesses.
... the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphases added]. Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, 1866. (See about middle of 3rd column.)
Listen up states
Young adults should not be allowed to get drivers licenses and graduate from high school if they cannot answer why the Founding States made Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to deliberately limit (cripple) the federal governments powers and cannot prove that they understand the following Supreme Court clarifications.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
She “re-thought it” after the state and federal governments pointed out it was illegal - it would break THEIR laws, not Boston’s.
I left out one word - “eligible”, and I did not say “should be enfranchised”. If you add rhe word I missed - eligible, and remember I said “should vote”, and that is all I said, the distinction between what I said and the colonial era is in who was eligible.
Dems need to win the popular vote.
that isn’t irony, it is blatant hypocrisy
“”It should be the state’s burden to register voters - not yours,”” That has to be one of the most ignorant statements I have ever read. If an individual does not accept the responsibility (burden to this idiot) to do what is necessary to vote, then he/she shouldn’t vote. That responsibility includes but is not limited to knowing the issues and candidates, registering to vote, knowing where to vote and then making time to vote. This is nothing more than an attempt by the Left to lead stupid people to vote for their promises and candidates.
John and Abigail Adams are going over to the democrat ticket for now on.
Blue state for life. So long, Baker, not that you were much use...
Read an article yesterday that the Dims are outpacing the Cons in voter registration.
I’m sure programs like this were a bit of a factor, being the 14 states that have this are most likely Dim controlled.
Where are the activist circuit court judges who are concerned about voter fraud via non-citizens? Crickets...
Is there no one who will challenge this, if (when) it is signed into law, so the Supreme Court can hear it? I suppose it can’t be challenged until it is signed. Devious crooked democrats.
Next step, Automatic voting. 60% of all registered voters will be assigned to the Democrat candidate, 30% to the socialist candidate, 18% to the communist candidate, and 2% to the Republican candidate. Legislature to review and adjust percentages as they think reflects MA “voter” preferences.
They want to flood the vote with millions of idiots - because that is how Dems win. They cannot win argument to argument, and this is why they never make arguments, but rather call people racist, fascist, bigoted homophobe, deplorable....its like a song they sing. A mantra that is old and boring.
Here is the Chris Matthews theme song, that encompasses all these base prejudices in a hilarious send up....

My GOD,if this sh*t is NOT stopped it is all over no matter what Trump does. This insanity almost got Clinton selected. In freak states, ANYBODY on the planet can get a DL and “healthcare”.
...and this enables mail in fraud for those that don’t vote.
MASS. is already SO DEM. what the HELL difference does it make, let ALL the illegals vote the citizenry into oblivion!!! Pretty soon MAYBE the hard working population will WAKE UP and do SOMETHING about their legislators!!!!
Just in time for Liawatha’s re-election
Right, I agree.
The situation in America today with respect to the Constitution is that we are in a post Constitutional era.
There is no rule of law, the Federal Bureaucracy has run amok, and only through a Dictatorship can we hope to set things straight.
The Roman Republics created Dictatorships when government became dysfunctional.
If Trump doesn’t step up he will accomplish nothing.
