Democrat candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made a huge splash since trouncing incumbent Democrat Joe Crowley in the NY-14 primary, calls herself a socialist and is big on activism, if not geopolitics.
We allowed the socialist to take over the schools and nea over the last 5 decades. The generations coming on line now believe socialism is the answer to everything. Long term we are destine to become a socialist hell hole. Trump is just a temporary reprieve from the inevitable.

“Our nation is in a moral crisis,” said Ocasio-Cortez in response to a question about why she went to the border just three days before the primary election.
“Every day that we allow these two thousand children that have been ripped from their parents — which is an internationally recognized human rights violation, this is being done in our name, this is being done in representation of us as United States citizens — every day that we allow the continued violation of those children’s rights is the day I believe the moral character of the United States is at stake.”
“We have to have a rapid response,” she said. “And I think every day that we go on, especially a day when something that heinous happens, we have to occupy all of it. We need to occupy every airport. We need to occupy every border. We need to occupy every ICE office until those kids are back with their parents, period.”
“We have to show people that we’re willing to walk the walk,” she said.
She called the Trump presidency “rising fascism” and said “we need to be ready to drop everything and go straight to LaGuardia airport. We need to be ready to drop everything and go straight to our local ICE agency.”
“This can only be blocked through our own action,” she added.
The interviewer, Amy Goodman, pointed out that LaGuardia is in the district that Ocasio-Cortez is running to represent.
