The proof that no evidence is needed has already happened. There was no legitimate reason to delay the vote that was already scheduled for this week.

I’m a woman, but I can certainly see that if a young teenager gets liquored up, he or she is quite liable to do something they would NEVER do, if sober. Wouldn’t have the nerve, or wouldn’t even think of it, especially a kid like I imagine Kavanaugh was -— eagle scout type, super reliable and so forth. Having said that, IF Kavanaugh did this, it is NOT a big deal, but lying about it IS. I sincerely hope he didn’t do it, and I don’t think he did, but if I’m wrong about that, and he has to admit to it NOW, he’s through. I really, really hope he’s telling the truth.

I can’t completely agree with that. A younger victim, or even some older ones, often feel a great deal of shame, even though they shouldn’t. And they feel like the person taking the report may think they contributed to an attack. And I’m pretty sure it’s embarrassing to have to detail the kind of things the perp did to them.
Guys usually don’t think the same way. They want it dealt with. On the other hand, look at all the victims who took years to report abuse by clergy. They felt ashamed that they didn’t stop the abuser, and felt weak. Guys don’t like to be perceived as weak.
Having said all that, these “me too” complaints, like “he touched my shoulder”, and other non-threatening acts, are absurd. But some of them were aggressive, predatory, didn’t take no for an answer, and usually had many victims, yeah -— they should be reported, even if it takes years to get up the guts to do it.

I taught my daughter/sons to report to me (Or authorities) right away if anyone harmed her or even you felt she was harmed.

People like you serve as a disservice not only to victims, but those who are falsely accused as well. Shame on you, because that rationality is disingenuous.

I taught my children to be personally responsible, apparently you are teaching yours to be hopeless victims or manipulative creatures that use excuses to deny their own responsibility.

BTW, I was an alter boy with a good friend who was sodomized by a priest ("Father" Arthur Bendixen). He yelled at the rooftops to those adults he trusted and they stated that he was lying, including his parents. Abuse victims will tell their story in real-time, you would be probably like the deniers he was saddled with and rationalize everything staying perpetually blinded.
