It's typical high school. Stories about people you don't know circulate all the time. People remember the stories, but not the names, so it's easy to "remember" things in any number of ways.
SHe said she pulled hte post because it had done it’s job.
Anyway, if the school was talking about it so much that this woman heard about it, AND remembers it 35 years later, even though she did not KNOW Ford, how could Ford possibly have NOT heard the whole school talking about it?
And if she DID, she certainly would have remembered it, since she said it was very traumatic for her; if she was keeping quiet because she was embarrased, she’d be horrified that others were talking. If she was hiding it from her parents, she’d be scared that the talk would get back to them.
And, if she knew people were talking about it, she would have said in her statement “I didn’t tell people, but I heard people talking about it”.
SO I have to assume it was NOT circulating in the school, and this women is simply lying about that, or mis-remembering some story, or just remembers people talking about boys and has now assumed a name that is in the news.
Cockroaches do what cockroaches do - they just have no real sense of the time....
I think if I remembered something like this about a schoolmate, and the “accused” was nominated for the Supreme Court, I would have been talking about it from the minute I heard the accused’s name. I mean, if it was a big enough deal that I thought a person was unfit to be on the Supreme Court, I would be posting about it right when they were nominated. That she waited to corroborate the story till the story was out tells me she didn’t really remember the story at all.
How convenient. Yes, there was buzz at my pre-school in Santa Ana, California when I was 3 years old about the Dallas incident, Fatima and the faked Moon landing, but I don’t want to do any interviews and just forget that I mentioned it.
