Poll: Washington State Battleground District Moving Safely Back to GOP
Breitbart ^ | Oct 10, 2018

Posted on 10/10/2018 3:29:36 PM PDT by 11th_VA

A new poll from Washington’s eighth congressional district shows Republican Dino Rossi raking a commanding lead over Democrat Kim Schrier in the wake of Democrats’ failed smear attempt on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The poll, published Wednesday, shows Rossi with a commanding 10-point lead in the battleground district in his race against Schrier to replace retiring Rep. Dave Reichert (R-WA) in one of the districts that could determine the fate of the majority of the House of Representatives.

At 49 percent, Rossi leads Schrier’s 39 percent, well outside the poll’s five percent margin of error. The survey of 400 eligible voters was conducted from Oct. 4 to Oct. 9 by Crosscut/Elway.

In a piece on the poll, Crosscut’s David Kroman wrote that this was unmistakably due to the Democrats’ mishandling of the Kavanaugh confirmation.

“Rossi, a former state senator and real-estate investor, saw an especially large bump last weekend, claiming a 24-point advantage among voters surveyed in the hours and days immediately after the U.S. Senate’s vote to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Kroman wrote. “Those respondents made up nearly a third of the total voters surveyed.”

I am absolutely in LOVE with the Willamette Valley area of Washington State.

That is a very good part of Oregon.

We live on South Whidbey. Pretty liberal here but the north island is conservative (Naval Air Station). Dino used to be mg rep when I lived in Issaquah. He did a great job settling a teacher’s strike when my son was in elementary school. Hope he wins!

We consider Oregon America’s outback. Nobody knows the state other than us Oregonians.

Good state to be from ... retire not so much. Regardless of the polls, regardless of the Republican turnout overwhelming the Dem’s, once again ballot boxes will be found all over the place - even floating in the Sound again. The Dem will win hands down.

Was a nice place to live and retire several decades ago. Perhaps up in Ferry county - if the enviro-weenies haven’t burned them out - would work. Forget the Sound it’s a bastion of wackos and the super rich trust funders who work for a hobby, if at all.

I have elderly relatives who live in in one of the districts that the rats want badly. I am going to visit them and fill out their mail in ballot for them. My district went solid Democrat years ago, but I can help in another district.

That’s funny...We’re all going to have to make friends with “wine” no matter where it comes from before too long.

I’m sitting in GA with one ear on the weather on TV and the other on the weather alert radio telling me I have to pick another station for weather alerts. Are they kidding me? It took me six months to find the right station to program for the alerts when we got the sucker - in no mood to go through that monkey business again. I’ll rely on the TV, radio and internet. Grab bag is packed with my husband’s meds and fingers are crossed that none of it will be needed.

Give me CA any day - where we never had to stay awake at night worrying about an earthquake!! I prefer ignorance over stress!!

I pretty much know every inch of Wisconsin, so I know exactly what you mean.

Ever been to Toad Suck, Arkansas, though? ;)

I hope you can stay put! I’ll add you to my Prayer List, tonight! :)

I grew up in Milwaukee, WI where tornadoes are virtually unheard of (Lake Michigan swallows them whole!)

We moved to the Madison area when I was 10 years old, and that Spring we spent more time under Dad’s heavy-duty Work Bench in the basement than we seemed to do anything else!

“Daddy! We don’t like it here!” ~ Me & Little Sister

When we were under the bench, Baby Sister went up against the basement wall, then Mom, then me, then the dog, then Dad, LOL!

+1 for the Dems from the last public poll reflects two factors: early polls designed to advance the Leftie cause, and pre Kavanaugh. This poll reflects reality and will show up in many other races.

Except for all the liberals. Eugene on the South end, Portland in the North, Salem in between—what could one find to complain about? Other than being stuck in the same state with them.

Excellent news. I plum forgot about this district and then remembered that rats had their eye on it. This is precisely the kind of seat that they need to steal the majority.

Rossi went from 2 points up to 10.

I still refer to Rossi as the Former Governor-Elect of Washington State.

Dino Rossi is a class act. He won the 2004 governorship on the first two counts, then suddenly bags of ballots appeared from closets that put Dem Christine Gregoire over the top by a few dozen votes. The fraud was blatant. Rossi sued and found more than 1600 votes were fraudulent. A homosexual judge ruled the fraud could have favored Rossi. Yeah, right. More than 500 were of homeless persons with address at the King County Elections Office signed with similar handwriting.

Rossi was robbed.
