Emily Heil reported on October 18 that Georgetown Prep was hiring a director of alumni relations, and wrote that the school posted the advertisement for the position this week. The article further suggested that the school was adding the position because of the news surrounding the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a Georgetown Prep alum, to the Supreme Court.
However, Heil was informed prior to publication of her article by a spokesperson for Georgetown Prep that the position was posted back in July.
Heil specifically asked spokesperson Patrick Coyle when the alumni director job was posted, according to a copy of the email posted by @AG_Conservative.
“Just thought it was interesting, given all the attention that your alums have been getting recently,” Heil wrote to Coyle. “I wondered if the job had been posted before or after the Kavanaugh hearings, and anything else you can tell me about it.”
Coyle responded within eight minutes telling Heil that it was “posted in July 2018,” and pointed Heil to a group of other statements from Georgetown Prep.

They all do that. Print big screaming headlines and articles full of untruths...then when they get caught, they print a retraction in very tiny print in a hard-to-read font, buried in the last pages of their rags.

My impression is that today’s journalism consists of a combination of those who want to do a good and honest job, and those with an agenda - and that often that agenda is largely driven by their desire to be ‘hot-shots’ in the Watergate style.
The wannabe ‘hot-shots’ are like those we deal with everywhere in life - the marginally talented, extremely aggressive, willing to do ‘whatever it takes’ to promote themselves, jerks.
On top of the pile are those who are largely beyond everyday concerns (they have money and security), but are also arrogant/narcissistic, and embrace the premise that they are powerful people who are guiding society and the world via their control of their media outlet. They like the wannabe ‘hot-shots’ more than the nose to the grindstone wannabe ethical journalist crowd, because the wannabe hot-shots give them the sensationalism and agenda-driven stories that allow them to fulfill their grandiose desires to be the ones who guide society and the world.
It all comes down to ego over integrity, which is way too ubiquitous in the world today.
Should we be surprise!
The modern press is all about finding important stories and covering them.

Georgetown Prep was indeed hiring a director of alumni relations as they posted the job in July. If they somehow updated to position description and posted the updated listing this week the the liar reporter is technically correct, although seriously misleading.
But I doubt it. I think she is just a d**n liar.
