ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Former Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski has learned his punishment for participating in pay-to-play politics.
Pawlowski was sentenced Tuesday to 180 months or 15 years in prison Tuesday afternoon.
A federal jury in March convicted Ed Pawlowski on 47 of 54 corruption charges involving allegations of pay-to-play politics in Allentown City Hall. Authorities had accused the Democrat of trading favors and city contracts in exchange for campaign donations.

If only the Pantsuit would receive the same kind of justice.
Now ICE needs to round up the illegals in the region.
Dims would to toast.
Just out of curiosity; what party is he with?
Local Democrat Susan Wild, who is running for Charlie Dent’s vacated Lehigh Valley congressional seat (more here: http://www.witf.org/news/2018/10/lehigh-valley-congressional-race-in-play-for-control-of-the-house.php ) was Pawlowski’s key assistant back in the day. Her law firm represents the local paper, the Morning Call, which has been publishing hit pieces on her Republican opponent, Marty Nothstein.
4th sentence - Democrat.
If he was Republican, it would have been the first word in the first sentence.
Democrat.
He didnt do nothin
The Morning Call article doesn’t mention that he’s a Democrat at all
we’re living here in Allentown-—Billy Joel needs to add some new lyrics.
“If he was Republican, it would have been the first word in the first sentence.”
If he was a republican, it also would have been on the national news from every single network. I haven’t heard anything about it in the northwest.

That’s right. That explains why it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the article.
This should qualify him as a Democrat candidate for higher office.

“Allentown”
Well we’re living here in Allentown
And they’re closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they’re killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
Well our fathers fought the Second World War
Spent their weekends on the Jersey Shore
Met our mothers in the USO
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And we’re living here in Allentown
But the restlessness was handed down
And it’s getting very hard to stay
Well we’re waiting here in Allentown
For the Pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved
So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coal
And chromium steel
And we’re waiting here in Allentown
But they’ve taken all the coal from the ground
And the union people crawled away
Every child had a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got
But something happened on the way to that place
They threw an American flag in our face
Well I’m living here in Allentown
And it’s hard to keep a good man down
But I won’t be getting up today
And it’s getting very hard to stay
And we’re living here in Allentown
When will they go after the Clintons?
I knew Susan Wild 40 years ago when she and I worked in the same law office in Washington, DC; she was starting at George Washington U law school then. She went by her maiden name of Susan Ellis back then. She was a very sweet, nice person. I wonder what went wrong.
