Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul offered a potential solution to the State of the Union problem that has been front and center for the past few days — President Donald Trump bypasses the House of Representatives entirely and delivers the speech from the Senate floor.
“Senator McConnell is in charge of the Senate,” Paul tweeted Thursday morning. “If Mrs. Pelosi refuses to allow the president to deliver the State of the Union in the House, I propose we move it to the Senate and make it happen!”

This elevates her as an opponent. Then the media will give this “powerful” woman a bigger platform. Trump is doing the right thing by ignoring her.
Nancy Pelosi and her reactions will be fully visible during the speech, the way the Speaker and VP normally sit right behind the president during a State of the Union speech.
Maybe part of what’s going on, is that they don’t want Nancy on camera all night.
Still she’d be forced to clap, or not clap, when Trump talks about the job numbers, minorities, etc. The optics are her problem, not his.

She does NOT want to be on camera at any cost.
A better strategy IMO is to ignore Pelosi and proceed with the traditional SOTU in Congress. BAU.
Imagine the optics of a Speaker of the House trying to stop a President from entering and delivering the SOTU address? The MSM would love to carry it. Trump would eat that up and easily win that battle and prevail. Perhaps Pelosi and the dems don’t show up. So what?
Mark Levin urged Trump to do this on his radio show last night.
McConnell isn't in charge of the Senate, Pence is. Why couldn't he issue an invitation?
IIRC, she does not sit behind him during the SOTU.
She should be arrested and deported.
Trump. Ignore her. Walk into the House to deliver SOTU with or without invitation. If they say it is illegal and improper, just point out that you thought you would try to please the liberals by crossing over illegally since that is what they want?!
Pelosi has overplayed her hand, while Trump plays her like a fiddle.

LOL. I wonder what the internal polling of the Chuck and Nancy show were? My guess is that the dour faced pair hurt the Democrat cause more than it helped.
A suggestion for the SOTU. Talk about the successes in 2018. Don’t give the Democrats the platform to mock him in the rebuttal. Every SOTU is the same.
