Skip to comments.“We Build the Wall” Completes First Half Mile of US Border Wall (trunc - plus Video)

For months the liberal media mocked We Build the Wall founder and organizer Brian Kolfage and his plan to use private donations to help build the much-needed security wall between the US and Mexico. Brian raised over $20 million in private donations from over 260,000 individuals to build a border wall on the US southern border....
The section of wall We Build the Wall focused on closes a half mile gap that existed for years between the end of the El Paso, Texas border wall and Mount Cristo Rey. The gap is across from the Mexican city of Juarez. Currently, the El Paso Sector is the second busiest sector in terms of family apprehensions/UACs this fiscal year. Those categories now make up the majority of Border Patrol apprehensions.
Kobach explained the current wall ends abruptly and then theres gap for about half a mile between the end of that wall and Mt. Cristo Rey in New Mexico. Mount Cristo Rey sits on the west side of El Paso. Kris said, The gap is a half mile wide corridor and its literally a parking lot on the Mexican side and then you walk five steps and you are in the parking lot on the American side. Theres no barbed wire. Theres not ANY barrier. You just walk from one parking lot to the other.

Shows you what we, the people can do.
The half mile piece in the op will be done by tonight - according to the video.
Is it just me, or does it look like some of the wall isn’t tall enough?
Perfect Memorial day gift.
Excellent. Our family will be making a second donation to this project today. God bless America.
I’m certainly impressed. I had donated to it at the beginning and was waiting to see what comes of it. Time to consider donating again.
“Those Obama judges can be very creative...”
They need to start “experiencing” life-changing “accidents!” They need to be
“Scaliaed.” Pillows are cheap!
I think that’s an effect of distance and the slope. All of the Fisher segments are 30’.
That 1/2 mile was built in 4 days, this weekend. It’s in place.
Here is a link to Fishers method of building the concrete wall, which is what we should be doing.
It includes a road at the top level of the wall.
THIS is President Trumps ‘big beautiful wall’ that he kept talking about, instead of the temporary metal barrier that’s now going up.
Yes, a great video. Thanks for posting. I had been following the companies proposal and this Memorial Day surprise made my week!
This dramatically improves my assessment of the We Build the Wall effort.
This is solid, effective, low(to no)-maintenance barrier, put in an important spot.
It is a helpful piece of work, that can integrate well with the rest of the wall system.
They did a lot of heavy earth moving and grading, to improve the field of observation and extend good road further up the mountain. That will allow Border Patrol to respond quickly, patrol there regularly, and to bring their vehicle-mounted surveillance systems with them routinely and randomly. That can help push the narcos back into even steeper, longer and harder routes.
This is an effective piece of work.
Surely you jest.
Praise God !!! (YHVH)
Don’t call me surely! ;-)
