Pope Denounces 'Racist' Winners in Europe’s Elections—But Slobbers Over Stalinist Dictators
Townhall.com ^ | June 1, 2019 | Humberto Fontova

Posted on 06/01/2019 4:40:03 AM PDT by Kaslin

“Pope Francis warned against a rise of intolerance and racism as far-right nationalists and eurosceptic parties made historic gains in European elections…"The signs of meanness we see around us heighten our fear of 'the other', the unknown, the marginalised, the foreigner," he said in a message for the World Day of Migrants and Refugees,” France24.com reports.

“Pope won’t meet with Italy’s Salvini because of his position on migration— Two Italian publications reported that Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini “has attempted to secure a papal audience and been rebuffed each time…Salvini had been told ‘a meeting could not occur if Salvini continues in his tough position regarding migrants,” according to CatholicCulture.org

But perhaps my term “slobbers over” strikes some of my amigos as inappropriate? As unnecessarily hyperbolic? Perhaps even as sacrilegious?

Fair enough. Perhaps you have a point. Now please study Pope Francis’ face in these (undoctored) pictures and film clips from his visits to Cuba—then decide for yourselves.

Just in case, here’s a couple more. And please pay close attention to the race of the (untried) firing squad victim as opposed to the race of the (Castro-directed) firing squad and its commander. And please remember that Pope Francis’ complaint against Matteo Salvini is his “racism.”

Also note that Pope Francis denounces “meanness.”  Do firing squad murders of thousands upon thousands of untried victims, many of them yelling love of the Pope’s church with their last breaths, qualify as “meanness?

“The defiant yells (“Viva Cristo Rey!”—“Viva Cuba Libre!”-“Abajo Comunismo!”) from the bound and staked martyrs “would make the walls of La Cabana prison tremble!” wrote eyewitness to the slaughter, Armando Valladares, who suffered 22 torture-filled years in Castro’s prisons and was later appointed by Ronald Reagan as U.S. ambassador to U.N Human Rights Commission.

Given their valiant defiance even during their last seconds alive, by mid 1961 the mere binding and blindfolding of Castro and Che Guevara’s young murder victims wasn’t enough. Pope Francis' gracious Cuban hosts then began ordering that the Catholic youths also be gagged. The shaken firing-squads demanded it. The yells were badly unnerving to the trigger-pullers, you see.

So now, as the fine folks who hosted Pope Francis in Cuba yanked the young Catholic heroes from the cells, bent their arms back, and bound their hands, two more Communist guards came into play. One grabbed the struggling victim’s hair and jerked his head back, trying to steady him. The other taped his mouth shut.

Raul Castro and Che Guevara (whose visage formed the backdrop for Pope Francis' mass in Cuba) were the most notorious executioners during the early years of the Cuban Revolution. The orders, of course, all issued from the late Fidel Castro, who Pope Francis went out of his way to visit and smilingly hob-nob with after the Mass, profusely thanking him for his efforts towards “world peace.” (I am NOT making this up!)

“I am not Christ or a philanthropist,” wrote Che Guevara in a letter to his mother. “I am all the contrary of a Christ--In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm.”

"The facts and figures are irrefutable. No one will any longer be able to claim ignorance or uncertainty about the criminal nature of Communism," wrote The New York Times (no less!) about The Black Book of Communism. This “irrefutable” study on Communism’s crimes was edited by the head of France’s National Centre for Scientific Research, Stephane Courtois (not exactly an embittered dispossessed Cuban exile) and translated into English by Harvard University Press (not exactly a subsidiary of the John Birch Society.)

This impeccably high-brow scholarly study found that Castro and Guevara’s firing squads murdered between 15,000 and 17,000 Cubans, the equivalent of almost half a million executions given the U.S. population. Some more perspective: the UN, (the same United Nations that proudly features Cuba on its Human Rights Council, by the way) charged former Serbian dictator Slodoban Milosevic with “genocide” for ordering 8,000 executions.

And far from any of the repentance the Catholic Church supposedly requires for forgiveness, the Castro brothers have always doubled--and even tripled-down--on their gloating for those thousands of murders, historically denouncing the young victims as “CIA mercenaries!” and “terrorists!”

None of this has prevented the Castro regime from receiving the most papal visits recently of any Latin America nation, equaling the number of papal visits to Brazil, with a population of 200 million, 130 million of them declared Catholics. In contrast, Cuba has a population of 11 million, only a tiny fraction of which are practicing Catholics. Someone’s got some serious “‘splainin” to do for this Papal fetish of constantly visiting Stalinist Cuba and chumming around with her Stalinist rulers.

Meanwhile, American Catholics pretend to believe their church is not a destructive force for America

Seriously? The Pope is not the Church. At best he's a temporary custodian of something Christ and the Holy Spirit built and own.

As far as forces destroying America, go see your local Planned Parenthood clinic. Every day it's calling down God's wrath on America, and God's wrath will destroy far more thoroughly than any other force you can imagine.

And by the way, this calls down God's wrath on America, too.

Rush is right 97% of the time.

One of his big failures:

Claiming everything would be fine with Francis. He said he was a great guy and later everyone would be reassured, this guy is totally solid.

100% WRONG-O.

> How many refugees does he house at the Vatican? My guess is zero. <

Awhile back I did a little calculation. Based on population density (population divided by area), Vatican City can take in at least 3000 refugees.

And if you take a look at a map of Vatican City, you’ll see there is plenty of space in the Vatican gardens for some apartment buildings.

But I think you’re right. I couldn’t find anywhere any report of refugees living in Vatican City. (Francis has brought in refugees. But he always places them in the city of Rome. Never in the Vatican.)

There’s no contradiction.

Wanting your own country, your own laws and culture has become “racist” because it resists those that want to tear down your country from without, and Cultural Marxism has always been about subverting the West (you may note that it isn’t similarly racist for Muslims to seek to eradicate the cultures of the West because white people apparently deserve it) to deliver those nations over to new foreign masters.

It’s just the Soviet Union that such Useful Idiots were meant to benefit is gone so now they just do their thing for whomever opposes our existence / independence.

Meanwhile OF COURSE such people miss the old masters they were intended to benefit.

Meanwhile, American Catholics pretend to believe their church is not a destructive force for America. . .

Yer funny.

Who teaches that mankind are fallible and weak, and to "put not your trust in princes" but in the Truth? That would be the Catholic Church. The Church and its teaching have already dealt with your complaint, which is eternal, and which is rooted in the flaws of individual men like us. The Church, which is in reality, teaches that we each must turn to Christ daily to be healed of our wounds and faults.

Maybe most to your question about America: What religion are about 90 percent of President Donald Trump's appointees to his cabinet, staff, and to the courts?

We all know the answer to that. The question is "Why?"

As you're well aware, it's because the Catholic Church holds the Truth and articulates it--in season and out of season. Catholics--devout and energetic ones, rather than old, trendy, washed-up, 1960s "Catholic" rebels against the Church. Catholics formed the intellectual and social resistance against 0bama and his swamp. Then they voted for Trump, and were crucial to his victory.

I'm sorry our world is full of suffering and uncertainty, and its figureheads are a very mixed lot. But we who read the scriptures and the writings of the Church fathers have no right to be surprised. This was the world as Christ described it to us when He was with us, and He made it quite clear what our mission is: daily martyrdom, daily persistence, and yes, daily joy.

Stop griping, shoulder your pack, encourage your buddies, and fight on.

This Pope has made himself quite “Irrelevant” thus making the Catholic church irrelevant as well. There has been an internal war within the church since the Jesuits took control hundreds of years ago.

"The signs of meanness we see around us heighten our fear of 'the other', the unknown, the marginalised, the foreigner,"

That is human nature. It is natural and normal to feel uncomfortable around those that one is unfamiliar with, or those who one knows that they have values that oppose one's own.

Unable to understnd Latin, the flock gladly follows

Quite able to understand Latin, thank you. This pope has very little Latin. He will die as does everyone, the Church will go on as it has for 2000 years. Bad popes come and go, the Church survives. The flock has had quite a bit to say about this pope, you have not been paying attention. Ultimately, we follow Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church.

Did some poking around on Google images.

Very interesting. Shows the current pope loves marxist dictators and hates freedom loving leaders.

Searches:
pope francis with castros
pope francis with maduro
pope francis with iran leaders
pope francis with Trump

The love on his face for brutal dictators says it all.
The hate on his face for Trump tells you where this marxist’s mind is.
