Perhaps before you make condescending comments about my post, you take your own advice, and check first.
Have a nice day.

I for one, do not want this team invited to OUR HOUSE. No one would ever darken my doorways if they talked about or treated me or my family the way this team has treated America.

urge that they get paid fairly

I listened to a discussion of the pay...they are paid almost the same as the male players. It's all in the details...and the advertising!

My bona fides: Been cheering and horsing around playing soccer since the mid-70s. All my grands, boys and girls, have played it. In our family, it's more important than high school football. So, I'm a girl who is very pro-soccer...I'm just tired of hearing about the supposed pay differences between men and women!

I know that we are all happy for the Womens Soccer team on their big win.

It's women's soccer, so interest level was already hovering around zero. Then there was the spectacle of their ridiculous over-celebrating during the game with Thailand, which took my rooting interest down to zero. Then there was the blatant anti-Americanism and the pre-emptive declarations that they wouldn't accept a White House invitation, which restored my rooting interest - in any team they played against. I'm sorry to see that this gaggle of angry lesbians won - they don't represent me in any way.

By tussling with Trump, they are only reinforcing the view held by many Americans that soccer is a foreign, Third World sport.

If the team doesn't stand up to her, they are selling out to win.

Just as countries with dictators as their leader get the government they deserve, rather than the government they want, any group is accountable for the leadership it allows.

Are the other women UnAmerican? No, but they are cowardly when it comes to this, and millions of young girls who love the sport are being dragged into Megan's narcissistic delusions of grandeur.

The whole team is partly responsible. What they've accomplished is great (although it won't be long before other countries catch up.)

So they are to be partly praised and partly taken to the woodshed.

The left is ruining sports. Anyone who lets them, without standing up, is complicit even if not as evil.

I saw it a couple of years ago when the Eagles won the SuperBowl - they were invited to the White House, and early on about thirty team members had signed up to go - but a few malcontents with their anthem-kneeling and pseudo-reparations demands like Malcolm Jenkins and whatsisname Long, who’s since retired, were adamant in boycotting, and within a matter of days the entire team had reversed course and didn’t go - I think there was maximum pressure applied behind the scenes for the brothers to show they were solid and down for the cause and that sort of thing, and so the team missed out on the experience - I’m thinking the same will happen with the soccer gals.....

Why are you’re quoting the Amazon Post at us?

The President made his public invite “win or lose.”

Now it will get messy behind the scenes as it should be done. Lighten up.

Well said, and I have to agree with your premise. As a father with daughters, I ache for those who are deserving, and want to go, but are held back by peer pressure, and I suspect, bullying by these types of women who are not content to have their own opinion, but feel the compulsion to stuff it down the throats of those around them...

It will be interesting to see what transpires...

I pointed out 2 sources that said the invitation had been rescinded, and to this moment he has withheld an invitation. Is that not clear to you?

Not clear to me as we don’t know what the discussions are behind the scenes.

I never posted what might happen, just what had, and posted links to those words. I am not sure, how I can help you further.
