Attorney General William P. Barr issued the following statement:
“I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein’s death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI’s investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein’s death."

Suicide, nobody did anything wrong. And, even if they did, they did not intend to do it, and there is no basis for prosecution.

The DOJ and FBI which were investigating him had some responsibility to see how the Tombs was holding him in custody. Either the classification system or security practices at the Tombs were highly irregular for a suicidal high-profile inmate or some one set this up.
