WASHINGTON (JTA) — Bernie Sanders launched a campaign video highlighting his Jewish identity and casting President Donald Trump as part of the white nationalist threat.
The four-minute video posted Thursday night on Sanders’ Twitter feed, interpolates excerpts from Sanders’ speech last year to J Street, the liberal Jewish Middle East policy group, with commentary by Joel Rubin, the campaign’s Jewish outreach director. It starts with Sanders’ declaration of pride in being Jewish. “I’m very proud to be Jewish and look forward to becoming the first Jewish president in the history of this country,” Sanders says.
During his 2016 run for the Democratic nomination, Sanders at first played down his Jewish background, although he was the first Jewish major-party candidate to win nominating contests. This cycle, he has emphasized his Jewishness.
The video otherwise focuses almost entirely on the threat that Sanders says President Donald Trump poses to Jews and other minorities.
“Jewish values teach us that community matters, that tolerance matters, that engaging the other matters,” Rubin says, and notes his roots in Pittsburgh where in 2018 a gunman killed 11 worshipers at The Tree of Life synagogue complex, “some of whom were friends of my parents.”
“We live in a perilous time where not only are white nationalists attacking our synagogues and raising hate speech on the internet, we have a white nationalist right now sitting in the White House,” Rubin says, referring to Trump’s equivocation in condemning neo-Nazis after a deadly march in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017.
“We need to have someone in office who gets it, gets it in his kishkes, understands what it really means to ensure that we are healing our world,” Rubin says.

I don’t think so - but I think they are a combination of hopelessly naive and too caught up in their despicable ideology (which is Leftism, not liberalism) to think things through. People like them ended up in the camps, more clear-minded folks got out before or resisted the Nazis (and, yes, that is a very blanket statement that has exceptions too numerous to count - but I believe it nonetheless).
Alternatively, maybe they DO hate the more hawkish Israelis, both because they disagree strongly with them and because they view those folks as “betraying” their Judaism (much as conservative blacks, women, etc. are viewed as betraying their (irrelevant) ethnic or gender group).
Either way, I despise the evil they commit by their adherence to and advocacy of Leftism, which is not only antithetical to this country’s ideals and to the authentic ideals of Judaism, but which has inflicted immense harm to the Jewish people. They fail to understand that the Nazis were also Leftists, and that the split between the Nazis and Communists only occurred on June 22, 1941, when Germany invaded the USSR. Until then (and well before the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in 1939), the two nations and ideologies were quite OK with each other (siblings usually are, until and unless something comes between them).
As usual, Sanders is a clueless moron. Trump’s daughter and son-in-law are Jewish.
Froggy was on the Buster Brown-sponsored show hosted by “smilin’” Ed McConnel at first, then by Andy Devine.
The show would feature guest speakers who would give lectures on say, fishing. The lecturer would have a bowl of worms. He would pick it up and Froggy would appear and say “and you dump it on your head.” The kids in the audience would laugh hysterically.
The show also had Midnight the cat, who purred “ni-i-i-ce” and Squeaky the mouse.
Gunga Rom, the Elephant Boy, with his pet pachyderm Tila, also appeared as a regular in films.

The show was a big part of my childhood in the early fifties.

Never got a chance to ask them, since Trump quickly rounded them up and had them ‘liquidated’. LOL.
Anyway, I don’t know too many Jews, but the ones I do know live conservatively, but hate Trump. As far as I can tell, they look at this country as a side of beef, in the movie Rocky. You can punch it, punch it, and punch it some more...and it will ALWAYS recover, right back to the form they’re enjoying today. They simply cannot imagine this country going south. They’ll have see Skunk Cabbage or any of the declared candidates in action before they get the point...and, of course, it will be too late then.
Pretty much the same as Asian immigrants, and to some extent, other immigrants - although conservatives have a built-in disadvantage with most immigrants in that our side wants limited immigration, but even worse, all of their news sources that speak Asian and Hispanic are no different than CNN, so they don’t even have the option of getting truthful news.

Bernie Sanders is representative of nothing Jewish. Including the secular passivity of liberal Jews. If you note the words of his campaign workers, Bernie's vision is one of reeducation camps, aka gulags, and death for those not on board with the revolution. And no, these comments have not been criticized by the Sanders campaign, who considers them "politics". Nor by the Democrat party, elected officials, and even candidates opposing him. I guess political violence is a good thing to the left.

Some of those white nationalists are even disguising themselves as black people. They attacked Jusse Smollet so bad, he almost lost his sandwich. The fiends!
Sanders is a bigger threat to my people than Trump (who is no threat, at all).
Sanders’ followers are classic brown shirts.
The fact that Sanders is nominally/ethnically Jewish is just cover.
