8 years of Clinton, 8 years of Bush and to really corrupt it 8 years of Obongo. When Clinton took over he fired EVERY US Attorney. Trump could have used that precedent, if he had it would be a different world.

Kurt must be reading my FR posts. LOL.

No need to clean up the DOJ. Just shut it down. The DOJ didn’t even exist until 1870, and I’ll venture to guess that 95% of its criminal cases involve matters that shouldn’t even be Federal crimes anyway.

Trump DID order the resignation of every U.S. attorney. It’s common practice in a new administration. The only two who were allowed to stay on were Rod Rosenstein and John Huber.

Kurt your one of my favorites, spot on, two thumbs up.

Where is the report? Its been almost a year since Mueller
report was reviewed by Barr prior to its announcement.

Its time to see people being held to account. I feel cheated, only Republicans needing lawyers and not one rat.

I do not want to believe that Atty. Gen. Barr is a creature of the swamp but, because of the evidence before our eyes, I am prepared to believe that he is an institutionalist whose first priority is to restore the reputation of the Department of Justice because he believes that is the way to restore the rule of law to America.

If that requires overlooking criminality, he might do that (some would say he already has) but if it requires pursuing the truth right into the courtroom, he would then do that.. Events will tell us.

Whatever Barr's motivation, if he fails to return a series of indictments he will go down in history as the Atty. Gen. who lost America the rule of law. Journalism will exempt him, history will not.

Kurt's right. DC is like a cancerous tumor that grows larger every day while it's creators set back and run out the clock on the stupid sheeple.

When all government ...in little as in great things... shall be drawn to Washington as the center of all power; it will render powerless the checks provided of one government on another, and will become as venal and oppressive as the government from which we separated." -- Thomas Jefferson, 1821

Are you sure? I don’t remember that. I do recall Bush fired a few and hell rained down on him. If you are correct it’s a shame he didn’t fire Rosenweasel too. Of course it was not known what a scheming little scumbag he was.

Does anyone think a jury in DC would find these deep swamp creatures guilty? Seems to me, the Stone, jury foreperson, would be the typical juror. Remember the Craig verdict?

The rule of law is not the same as the rule of justice. law is like a firearm. It is a tool It can be used judiciously, with care; or it can be used wantonly and with malice.

We don't have a justice system. We have a system of law that has as its first priority, defending and protecting itself.

The people in this system (judges and prosecutors are barely distinguishable) don't care if you respect it out of fear or out of a belief that is produces justice.

All of the people in the system will claim to be handing out justice. None will admit that the law is being abused.

Getting rid of the 100 or so "top players" in the non-violent sedition will not fix what is broken. It will drive it deeper and make it angry.

Congress is in on the scam. Congress created this monster, and Congress will defend it. After all, the law is the law.

Kurt and I have something in common. We both were toting guns during the L.A. riots in 92. I was defending my family and he was defending the rest of L.A.. Pitchforks and AR-15s are the only way this unjust justice system gets righted. It will get ugly and bloody. History proves that nothing is changed unless force is used.

I’m 100% sure of it. The firings didn’t happen right away after Trump’s inauguration. It was done shortly after Jeff Sessions was confirmed as AG in March 2017.

I believe only about half the U.S. Attorneys were still there anyway (the others had already resigned). Rosenstein’s resignation was rejected because he had been appointed as Deputy AG and was awaiting confirmation. Huber’s resignation was accepted, but he was left in place on an interim basis because he was nominated again to fill the same position.
