You would think so, based on how much travel there is.

But it's only been 6 weeks since the first case was confirmed outside of China. That was confirmed in Thailand on Jan 14 and case involved a man who died on Jan 9.

Many countries have confirmed their first case in the last week. Most of those do not have travel restrictions like Trump imposed, but they don't have as much travel either.

You would think we would be seeing cases of ARDS showing up in hospitals without a diagnosis of flu or some other diagnosis. That'a actually how they identified the first non-travel related case in California.

So I think we may not be in that bad of shape. We're starting to see a couple of pockets of contagion on the west coast. And I expect a few more that are unidentified as yet.

Test kits are going out. CDC or FDA says we will be able to test 10,000 people a day by the end of next week. So I'm hopeful we can identify any existing pockets and start isolating them.

The 1st sentence says “the new coronavirus strain”.

It does say other people displaying symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 have not been tested yet

If that were true then it would amount to a death sentence, however, that is not even close to the reality. Many have been cured. Perhaps what you meant to imply is that no vaccine yet exists to aid in combating it. But that is because it is a new strain, and Israel claims they will have something within weeks.

So we will see tomorrow night. Perhaps it is already priced in..it’s not like we didnt see it coming.

No - they’ve been treated and most *recovered*, some have been been reinfected. There is no cure - if you have one, I suspect there’s a lot of people who want to know the secret! But, as it is you either get through it - i.e recover - or you die.

There is also no vaccine, this is way too soon for a vaccine, much less any kind of a cure. Maybe next year a vaccine may come along, though. This time around everyone has to tough it, though.

If it were China related, it’s more likely a son/daughter who’s been to China and visited an older relative or a worker who has family in China (or goes there him/herself). I mean, more likely than something ordered on Amazon.

Yeah, I am thinking it got out of that lab in Wuhan, was walked over to that food market; and, the rest is playing out right now.

I think this is why China is refusing help from outside.

This latest version probably came about like this -

• They were studying it in their only Level 4 microbiology lab in the country, in the city of Wuhan.[1]
• Animals that were infected with (what is now known as Covid-19) for studying that did not die during the process, were taken to the local "wet markets" and sold for an additional stream of income.[2]
• People unknowingly bought the infected animals and ate them.
• The disease transferred to humans, and took off from there.
• The CCP is trying to cover up their many medieval practices that still go on today in a country that is trying to portray itself as an equal (or better) than the U.S.
