You can’t play both sides. They are incompatible. When I hear this nonsense about bipartisanship and compromise, I get furious. You have two sides. The side that loves America, as founded, and would fight and die to save their constitution and freedoms. The other side hates America, as founded, and will do anything, legal or not, to take the country down. Compromise? No way. It’s a civil war, disguised as politics.

He graduated from Holy Cross 1967 = 21 years old
He’s out of deferments.
He’s a college graduate who is now eligible for the draft where the military services are looking for college grads for officers in the early-middle of the Vietnam war.
LBJ rewrote the draft rules late in 1967 for post graduates for 1968.
Post Grads would only get a deferment for 1968 if in school beginning fall 1967.
Post-graduate draft ages were expanded from 19-21 to 19-26.
Matthews turned 22 in 12/1967.
Matthews went to UNC post grad in 1968.
He dropped out of UNC 1968. (Must have found out he couldn’t get a deferment.)
He joined the Peace Corps in 1968.
It allowed him to avoid the draft and dodge the Vietnam war.
So that means the primary coverage was spittle free for the first time in years.

Be prepared for the *experts*; therapists trained in trauma recovery to look the other way. I’m trained in it, too, and I could tell you quite a lot about the damage done to a child by just ONE incident of inappropriate contact by an adult. It increases exponentially when that adult is in a position of trust. Can you put yourself in the shoes of an innocent child, touched by an adult like that? She knows it *feels* creepy and wrong, but, the grownups are acting like this guy is really special and important. How confused would *you* feel? How much fear and shame would you carry?
