“...I cant even retire now my 401 k has been devastated...”
You’re not alone, cherry. Millions of us have been ruined.
Meanwhile, our congresscritters get away with millions doing insider trading.....sickening.
I had been using Peapod for a few years. Professional drivers and they had a great warehouse. Unfortunately they pulled out of the Midwest a month ago
And I think they voted themselves a raise.
I’m not getting up at 7:00 AM to go shopping. If my daughter and son cannot get us some TP during their regular shopping, then I have a stack of old Washington Posts and lots of leaf-plants around the house.
#28. You forget “GAS”. It will either kill the viruses or the other seniors. You aren’t going to win!
+10!!
I don’t know what I would do without The Lord. He keeps reminding me of His love.. He comforts me and lets me know everything will be ok. We all need to get even closer to God. Depression does not have to come. *hugs*
Another good reason for the rest of us to run, not walk, to the self-checkouts when the Senior Hours end and we enter to find the seniors still there... :P
I think Haley is jealous.
My son lives at my mother in law’s house. (Although his room is in the basement, He’s an adult, fully employed and is still working) I told him he’s doing all of her shopping right now.
My mom and her husband live in a senior community in Florida. They are staying very sequestered. Don’t know what their shopping plans are.
We have an elderly neighbor. His wife died just last week. I had never met him but went over yesterday and gave him my phone number. Told him several times that we are available whenever for whatever.
Best of luck to blam.
Good on you for being an angel in your neighbor’s time of grieving and need. This world needs more like you.
The opinion is baseless.
Anything that reduces exposure is good.
Insisting on the absence of any exposure is in my view foolish
Yesterday as seniors, we picked up groceries curbside and ordered take out from a favorite sea food restaurant. Presently, my wife is at a different store offering senior hours.
TA lot of the stores here have instituted senior hour. Simply so they can actually get something. But!! I know someone who went to the senior hour at Von’s and said it was a cluster. She said more regular people showed up than seniors and the store didn’t enforce it. Since they included people with disabilities they really can’t enforce it. No way to know. She said she got there at 6am only to be told the truck wouldn’t be there til 9 but if they all wanted to wait by the back door to get first dibs at the truck they could. She left and went home empty handed. I haven’t even tried to participate in any of this nonsense.
I’m the 1 telling them what to stock.. semi prepper.
It was safe two months ago to go shopping as it is today.
This is just more gaslighting the people into thinking there is a this scary virus that will kill everyone so the government needs to shutdown the country and takeover.
“Trump built the economy up once, he can build it up again.”
He has no intention of building it back up. He has surrounded himself with communist sin healthcare that he is listening to who tell him to shut it all down.
If nobody saw Taquisha lick that head of lettuce you just picked up, won’t matter what time you shop at the Hit & Run.
“shopping during senior hour means ... a cleaner, restocked store. How is that not better than any other time of day?”
That’s what I was thinking, too. However, we’re seniors and we shop whenever we need to — at Walmart even. I was afraid when a California fire was threatening our home, but am not fearful enough of this to let the government dictate my movements. We’re as careful with hygiene as we always are, and live our lives.
