Thanks.

From your link...

For oral dosage form (tablets):

For river blindness:
Adults and teenagers—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The usual dose is 150 micrograms (mcg) per kilogram (kg) (68 mcg per pound) of body weight as a single dose. The treatment may be repeated every three to twelve months.

Children—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. For children weighing 15 kg (33 pounds) or more, the usual dose is 150 mcg per kg (68 mcg per pound) of body weight as a single dose. If necessary, the treatment may be repeated every three to twelve months. For children weighing less than 15 kg, use and dose must be determined by your doctor.

For strongyloidiasis:

Adults and teenagers—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The usual dose is 200 micrograms (mcg) per kilogram (kg) (91 mcg per pound) of body weight as a single dose. Additional doses usually are not needed.

Children—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. For children weighing 15 kg (33 pounds) or more, the usual dose is 200 mcg per kg (91 mcg per pound) of body weight as a single dose. For children weighing less than 15 kg, use and dose must be determined by your doctor.

+ + +

I have NO idea how either of those two illnesses/treatments compare to CoVid doses.

Ivermectin is a medication used to treat many types of parasite infestations. This includes head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis, and lymphatic filariasis. It can be taken by mouth or applied to the skin for external infestations.

This is a medication for human use

The generic might be used by vets. I’m still looking

I believe I heard about this cheap easy to buy online for pets drug here on FR, as a cure for many cancers, and I bought some at the time on amazon. I never used it but I remember reading here how a guy with cancer and doctors sent him home to die, took it and healed himself...

“What’s the worse that could happen?”

You’ll roll over on your back and ask people to scratch your belly?

Ivermectin is the “slow” treatment for heartworm in dogs. It doesn’t kill them it just prevents reproduction and the heartworm infection goes away as the adult parasitic worms die off naturally.

Thanks for the ping...I’m inclined to recommend caution, every heart-worm preventative I’ve ever run across contained arsenic and some form of pest control toxin. It’s most upsetting when the dogs you are treating with this stuff foam at the mouth, even at the recommended dose.

Needs more research imo.

No, not ivermectin. It’s fenbendazole which is sold under various brand names, Panacur-C being the best known.

That is a dog de-worming medicine, Fenbendazole. Ivermectin is also used for de-worming.

I have the injectable liquid which I give my dogs to de-worm them at one drop per 6 lbs- dropped out of a needless syringe. Put it on some bread then put peanut butter on top of that. Now, for me at 168 I would need 28 drops. No side effects with the dogs, so I would certainly try it if I was down with the CV. PB,J and I sandwich.

Here you go, I thought it was an animal-use product, but we can all get worms, I guess:

Ivermectin is an antihelminthic medication that can be used to treat worms inside your body or mites on your body. Typically, oral ivermectin is used to treat worms, while topical ivermectin is prescribed for head lice, scabies, or other external conditions. The good news is, it usually only takes a single oral or topical dose to do the job and kill the nasty little critters! Ivermectin is only available by prescription, so follow your doctor’s instructions closely when using it.

https://www.wikihow.com/Use-Ivermectin

So, just tell your doc you have worms, and you got it...

How did you know!LOL.

Here it is used as a 1.78% Invermectin solution for horses too, given orally. No prescription needed. Two 6 0z plungers cost about $12.00 US.All you would have to do is adjust the amount applied for body weight in a human should there be an emergency. Almost makes me neigh, LOL.

If it didn’t work for Covid-19, at least I’d die without worms.

The leader of the research team, Dr. Kylie Wagstaff issued a statement, saying, “Ivermectin is very widely used and seen as a safe drug. We need to figure out now whether the dosage you can use it at in humans will be effective—that’s the next step,” Newsweek magazine reported. “We found that even a single dose could essentially remove all viral RNA by 48 hours and that even at 24 hours there was a really significant reduction in it.”

More good news
Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old fart’s life, it's worth it.

As someone already posted, it was a different drug that treats parasite infections. But, out of curiousity, I decided to find a "map" of cancer rates by country.

Do you remember the map from a few weeks ago that showed the low rates of the China Virus in areas where people take drugs for malaria? The "lowest" rates of cancer match it nearly exactly.
