And Navarro can aggressively suggest just that.
Fauci is a Hillary lover, who doesn’t have the slightest incentive to quickly end this thing. ANd he has the perfect weapon, standing on glacial paced procedure and policy. Following every rule to the n’th degree. What Fauci is doing is the equivalent of a drowning man wanting to know if the life ring you threw him is USCG approved as a flotation device.
This drug is well understood and is 58 years old. It is a synthetic version of drug closer to 100 years old.
The risks and side effects are well understood. The only question remaining is whether or not it is effective for this use. The FDA has already approved it.
His science prig act is wearing thin. And yes,, I fully believe he would happily accept a few more deaths, and a destroyed economy to remove Trump, who in truth he despises.
Don’t kid yourselves, it would be easy for someone like him to rationalize such a despicable path. How many times do you hear health policy experts talking about old people taking the pain pill, needing to get out of the way, euthanasia, years of useful life left, etc etc.
He will not see it as mass murder... he would simply see it as normal policy. Furthermore, he pprobably is one of the believers that Trump is killing people at the border, and worldwide with America first policies. So he would think stopping Trump would be saving lives.
He’s a snake in the swamp grass. But best to not fire him. Better to make him stay and pretend to be a team player. Don’t give him the easy out to run straight to the DNC and start his gadfly act standing beside Biden daily telling us how wrong Trump is.

You have it right.
HCQ looks promising from anectdotal reports and a few non-double blind studies but that’s not what medical types like Fauci can use in order to label it a cure. That doesn’t prevent others from trying it.
There’s also been cases with other viruses where HCQ has actually made the situation worse, something which isn’t being widely reported. Healthcare workers know about this, they have to stay informed both legally and out of self preservation. Too early to know if this could happen with Covid. I know one who now has Covid and won’t take it. She’s been on the front line in NYC since this started.
