A “Karen” is usually a woman but can be man who is a busybody and constantly monitors neighbors, salespeople, or other workers to make sure they comply with her rules. If they don’t, she will demand to see their supervisors and complain bitterly about their performance.
She’s an entitled gossip and troublemaker.
It’s not a compliment.
But, why “Karen”? Why not some other name? Where did the Karen come from?
How about a new moniker a Cuban ?
You’re describing Gladys Kravitz.
My next door neighbor had his mom visit yesterday along with a few other family members.
I’m going to do my Karen imitation when I see him today and ask if the police I called ever arrived to break up his dangerous unauthorized party.
His mom lives 50 miles away in another state so I also need to make sure she’s self quarantining for 14 days.
As a Karen, that’s my responsibility.
