The Trump Hotel is the historic Old Post Office which is a Washington landmark. They had better not touch it!
What would be the objective in doing that? Pure symbolism? Spite? Response to months and months of house arrest? General feeling of ennui?
None of this seems to be particularly well defined.
But most of the anti-Trumpers do not have very good definition in their lives anyway.

I would imagine the private security for the hotel is not nearly as forbearing as the police are.
