Vladimir Putin is heading for victory in a referendum that could extend his rule until 2036 as Russia enters its final day of voting today. The Kremlin strongman would normally reach his term limit in 2024, but voters are set to back a plan to reset his tally to zero and allow him to run for two more terms. The package of constitutional changes would also increase Putin's powers to dissolve parliament and expand his influence over courts and prosecutors.

Russia should have elections like us with the true power not being elected. We like front men.
Demographics is destiny.
...and so the Democrats are 4 months from the same here, except for MUCH LONGER than 2036, should they win, make DC and PR states, throw out all voting rules with their judges, start after our guns (again with their judges supporting it), and silence political opposition (yet again, with their judges supporting).
And yet SOME PEOPLE here STILL will sit out the November election, to ‘teach the Republicans a lesson’ - and no, I don’t give a crap if some of those DNC-enablers served in the military.
It is not unreasonable to assume that Russians actually want a Czar, a powerful individual as ruler.
Russia is a backward nation
“If voting mad a difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.” ~ I think Mark Twain?
Regardless of whom, it’s pretty spot on.
An anti Republican conservative is an anti American conservative
I wouldn’t say we’re heading in a healthy direction.
There is a lot to admire about Russia, politics is not one of them.
Putin hasn’t been bad as far as Russian Leaders go- has he?
I mean he hasn’t murdered millions, Russia seems to have a stable economy and people are not starving, and he is not provoking the world...
There have been far worse than Putin. I really don’t care who Russians want as their leader, as long as it is not a power-hungry dictator bent on taking over the world.
And Putin does not seem to be that- is he?
THIS MEANS WAR! (to the wacky neocons)
It all boils down to the President
He knows better than us that it is us or them
It up to him to exterminate them for being the seditionist vermin they are
You make a good point. He has been very selective in his use of violence. Considering Russis’s past he has been very mild.
Women and novels?
Our university system has more communists in it than the Russian Duma.
Definitely yes add art, music, science, military science, and mathematics. As a Generation Xer I think it is funny how Russian women went from the fat woman in the boiler suit from the Wendy’s commercial to Western men traveling to Russia to try to find a bride.
President Trump doesn’t concern me at all.
It’s the true establishment of losers in DC and business.
Sending manufacturing overseas while bringing in H1B’s, not to mention our immigration issue.
We know the D’s are anti USA, but I don’t see how country club R’s and Chamber of Commerce R’s aren’t just as bad.
At least D’s shoot you in the chest, not the back.
We’re close in age I assume. C/O ‘93. (HS)
Fatties w/ babushkas to models...interesting.
I think in Russia you’re either a 2 or a 10.

...or, George Carlin.
Both truth-tellers with a great sense of humor.
