Potus speech was inspirational and exactly what most patriots wanted to hear. It was a true rallying cry for the nation.

Yes, it was an inspirational speech - a call to love our country and respect its history despite the current propaganda to the contrary.

That wasn't necessary. We had an open question about what the talking points would be and how the nets would cover the speech. People were making their guesses and then posting the actuals reports.

Actually, there are still not many 4K channels, but the box puts out a 4K signal and the TV displays it. The TV will upscale the picture.

I do get 4K on Netflix, but I had to subscribe to 4K to get it, and stream it through a Roku Ultra box to the TV via the HDMI switch. My TV is a 2014 Samsung, so I think the newer TVs have these port inconsistencies figured out by now.

One thing I never got to use was the 3D glasses that came with the TV.

No one “broadcasts” in 4K, but as you mentioned there’s plenty of 4K movie content. And it’ll definitely be compressed via streaming — it’s okay. Blu-Ray disks the best way to go if you have a RedBox nearby.

There’s a lot of movies moving to 4K UHD disc. The PS5 will support it natively, in the model with the disc player. That’s by far the best way to watch movies, far better than the streaming junk.

Funny you mention PS5 — the game consoles have always been ahead of the regular consumer market. Agreed regarding streaming.

I have a Yamaha receiver in a 7.1 surround setup. I’m hoping sometime to make that 9.1 with a newer Atmos/DTS-X receiver.
