The order directs the California Air Resources Board to develop a phase-out plan that would require 100 percent zero-emissions personal use and dryage vehicles by 2035 and as many medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle applications deemed feasible by 2045.

“Pull away from the gas pumps,” Newsom said. “Let us no longer be victims of geopolitical dictators that manipulate global supply chains and global markets.”

Unbelievable. Another reason to flee California, and leave the politics there.....

Needs to order some more electrical generation and transmission capability while he’s at it.

Physics trumps wishful thinking.

the 3 huge electric utilities in California (including one of the worst in America, PG&E) must have paid this governor a ton of money to “order” such a ridiculous thing

besides, the state doesn’t allow generating capacity sufficient for even existing needs (resulting in deliberate blackouts on an increasing frequency)

so how in Hell is governor Newsome going to allow all the power plants (including nuclear) which his illegal/unenforceable “order”) will require? Answer: he doesn/t know and he doesn’t care, he will be long gone by 2035 anyway... meanwhile he gets the $$$$

I guess all the liberals are going to quickly learn that vegetables don’t grow in the vegetable aisle and their meat isn’t grazing in a field out back.

So how does one man get so much power, or think that he has?

Because no one man, who is supposed to be an elected REPRESENTATIVE, should have that much control over that much area and that many people.

This crap needs to STOP.

They are not our overlords that they were born into the position they now occupy.

Does it matter? The legislature is overwhelmingly Democrat; they wouldn’t even try to stop him.
