Sit where it is safe,
At the kids table.
UGGGHH I haven’t seen any ads for turkeys yet; hoping they are in tomorrow’s newspaper. I would like to get about 24 lbs.
We are cooking the big meal and delivering to the son’s family of 4 who are all recovering from Covid, and the daughter and her husband (he is a commercial pilot, and she’s a NICU nurse).
We just are not brave enough to risk the in-person event. My husband almost died earlier this year, and has several co-morbidities. And I am no spring chicken and have had a few challenges this year, myself.
All my sympathies for the family situation. But, enjoy the leftovers!
Thank goodness we’re all Trumpers/Trumpettes....Libs are not welcome in our homes....Looking forward to our usual get togethers here in Pa......Cheers!!!!!
Yup, a little vino often helps.
My Governor is an imbecile. Nobody cares what he says. We will spend Thanksgiving with family.
happy to say i am part of the 38%..
Same as every other year over here.
#1 son and wife as a rule...…. for two such smart people.....
Target is showing $.98/lb for butterball turkeys 22-24 lbs. I never shop at Target, but might make an exception.
My daughter and three of my grandkids just went to my aunt’s this weekend to celebrate her great grandson’s first birthday. About 30 people, multiple households from different cities and not a mask in sight. PHOOEY to government busybody’s restrictions!
My lefty brother and cousin couldn’t handle me offering them a glass of Trump wine last year. The irony of them going off about Trump being a grifter was too ripe. And after a couple glasses with a side of their tears, I’ve decided that unless they can enjoy a free meal in the company of family that loves and welcomes them regardless of their stupidity, they aren’t welcome to ruin my holiday.
My local store is selling turkeys for 69 cents a lb with a $40 purchase.
Outside is a great option, particularly if any family members are - or come into regular contact with people who are - vulnerable. Virtually no risk of spread outdoors. Unfortunately not an option for everyone, but good for you for keeping family together while taking reasonable precautions.
My guys are experimenting making a thanksgiving pizza using stuffing as the base. So far it’s a complete failure.
We're celebrating Thanksgiving in our home with our family like we have for years. Nothing will change.
Phuque the government for telling what's we can or cannot do in our own home.
Biden is not dictator yet.
As usual, I will be having 50 people over for Thanksgiving.
Just call it a BLM protest, you're good to go.
“Shame on you celebrating the hateful nation that was America! Founded on genocide and slavery and meat eating!”
Every year the attacks on our holidays get bolder.
This year they just wanted to shut down every tradition altogether.
Hope it’s a great time with family.
