That reminds me. I just went last week to the funeral svcs for a good friend’s 98 y/o father, Bud Newingham. Terrific man. Fought with Patton’s Army. Was blown off a tank at the Bulge Battle. They thought he would lose both feet. He didn’t. Came home. Had a great life. Worked as a barber. RIP, Bud. Thanks. love.

Thanks one of mine too. Merrill’s Marauders comes in first. BIL fought under Merrill clear to Myitkyina air field.. My Bio Dad had 5 major battles under Gen. Mac. Put the Flag back up on ‘THE ROCK’ on a telegraph pole 2 weeks before the official Flag raising, was supposed to go to the General, 2nd one run up, under sniper fire.
