We had a TB outbreak in California in 2019. It killed 1.2 million people. Did we shutdown the entire U.S. economy? No it was barely even mentioned in the news.

My brother-in-law had an inoperable cancerous brain tumor. When he died tests were not available for Covid, so his death was declared “presumptive” Covid-19.
In the last two months two people that I know personally suffered from serious cases of pneumonia. BOth of them were fanatical mask wearers because they were very afraid of Covid. One of them died and one of them has permanent lung damage from the oxygen therapy that she received. Miraculously in this day and age of overly sensitive tests, neither of them tested positive for Covid. If they had even minute amounts of Covid detected in their bodies all of their problems would have been attributed to Covid. The doctors told the one who survived that she is not to wear a mask because it will impact her O2 levels.
A few years ago our medics transported an old man to the hospital who began feeling light headed while mowing his lawn on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, the medics were in the fire station and arrived at the same time that we did. They ran an EKG which showed nothing out of the ordinary. But for a number of reasons that were all basically stupid, the medics and the old guy's family members all ganged up on him and coerced him into going to the hospital. While at the hospital he picked up respiratory MERSA. He came home and gave it to his wife and within two weeks both of them were dead.
The point is that there are lots of deadly pathogens that are waiting for people in the hospital. We are told that Luke Letlow had no "co-morbidities" and he was only 41. It is statistically much more likely other infectious agents contributed to his decline and medical mistakes caused his heart attack. Poor Covid 19 is getting the blame for everything these days

Credible researchers say, when the numbers are known, there will not be *any* increase in expected deaths.
The CDC has been very willing to publish politically motivated "studies" about guns. They published data about Kentucky accidental gun deaths that was off by a factor of 500%, when corrected, they failed to acknowledge the source of the correction.
The CDC has shown themselves willing to fudge the numbers for political purposes.
Why should I believe them?

My 85/86 year old aunt and uncle in Upshur county Texas had it and survived....it was hard on my uncle....weakened him markedly
My 92 year old ex mother in-law didn’t survive it

He had a surgery related to Covid and suffered a heart attack after surgery
We don’t know the surgery nor if the heart attack was atherosclerosis related or arrhythmia
But Covid caused the surgery which likely precipitated the MI
Speaking anecdotally I have never in my life had an airborne URTI Or similar viral or bacterial illness spread around and kill as many folks I knew or knew of as this one

Yes. Multiple organ failure due to CoV-19 may require any number of surgical procedures. For example: ECMO is a procedure used to restore oxygenated blood when the heart/lungs fail with CoV-19. Dialysis may be required when kidneys fail due to CoV-19. Limbs may amputated when blood vessels in the extremeties lose circulation due to coagulation.
In other words, CoV-19 is an ugly infection which can cause multiple organ system failure.
I never said deaths aren’t being attributed to Covid that should not be... did you read my entire post? I even say I am all for calling out bogus Covid credited deaths.. however to claim that because someone with a sever case of Covid died of a heart attack that Covid wasn’t the cause is ignorant.
ARDS which is what happens in a sever Covid case, causes your organs to fail, because they are not getting effective oxygen. When your heart doesn’t get enough oxygen, guess what happens? You have a heart attack.
You are ranting at the wrong person. You are a COVID denier and I am not, but I am not afraid of COVID nor do I think we should shut down the economy over it. The fact is if you get COVID you are probably 2-3 times more likely to die than flu. Worst case in NYC in April, 10 times more likely. But since then we have younger people getting it who are much less likely to get sick, we have better treatments, and like every virus we have less lethal strains.
I'm glad you set the record straight about that. It can do nasty things to some, otherwise healthy, people. Best to avoid it, rather than scoff at it.

I think the main flaw in her work, as I read through the summary in the student newspaper, is that she doesn't actually compare current and past years. Her numbers are suspect and all numbers should be suspect. But those are NCHS numbers are the death numbers as reported, not just COVID, not adjusted.
The NYC numbers showed 0.25% mortality in April. Normally should be 0.07% of the population. I seriously doubt that NYC invented deaths. Over the US it's simply 11% more than normal. Chalk it up to whatever you want.

Doctors are saying he died from an operation; or as reported by some; died from or durig a procedure, related to Covid. (What would that be?). Question is; given importnce; is why information appears ‘covert’ or just ‘drip/drip’; instead of just saying ‘what the heck happened’.
