The crackheads need more money & LESS responsibility-—they can blame MAGA.

We are spending BILLIONS more on ILLEGAL INVADERS

There will be no default if the ceiling is not raised. The Interest will be paid because that is the first expense and there is plenty of money. It is just going to the unConstitutional welfare state and can be reduced as necessary to pay the debt.

Raise it if they agree to drop the 87,000 IRS agents. And sell the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of ammo given to the IRS, along with the millions of dollars worth of weaponry given to the IRS. Put the money towards the debt.

Republicans have been no better. They make noisy fights to marginally reduce the annual increase in spending. Control of the debt is not even a concept with Republicans or Democrats.

Re: 25 - Agreed 100%. From Presidents Bush 2 to Biden, not one has been serious about how to deal with the national debt.

The US Treasury takes in roughly $11B/day. There is no possibility that the interst on the federal debt will not be paid. Stop the fear tactics you losers.

The debt or the deficit? They are two different things.

I’m aware of that. No President in recent years has been consistently fiscally conservative in their US FedGov budgeting.

If we default, does that mean Washington DC can be sold at auction on the courthouse steps at noon?

I hate Bush 2 but I have to give him credit because in 2005 or 2006 he had the deficit down to less the $150B/yr. I thought that was impressive.

Ho come Schumer and pelosi didn’t do this along with the 1.7 trillion dollar Porkfest Ham bill.

Oh, the default bogeyman again. How is it that the only way we can pay our debt is to incur more of it?

What a disastrous situation we would be in
if the Dems still had the House.
Even some financial restraint is
better than none at this point.
