Is it a sin in the bible? Multiple wives seemed to be very common.
In the Catholic view of things what counts as a sin in the here and now is what the Church says it is, not whatever someone in the Bible says or does.
This (the role of biblical interpretation) has been the source of many (often very complicated) sticking points between Catholics and Protestants for centuries.

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
His wife. Not wives.
In the Bible God allowed the Jews both polygamy and divorce due to the weakness of men.
Jesus Christ restored marriage between Christians to a sacramental state ( which does not allow either polygamy or divorce).
Now between non-Christians ( even polygamists) they are recognized to have natural marriages.
So for example- in the past and even today if a man with multiple wives converted to Christianity, he would only be able to be married to one wife- but the Church would insist he would still be financially responsible and have to provide for his other former natural wives ( unless/until they married another person).
Agreed. Polygamy made more sense than same sex marriage or transX + ?Y marriage. I would consider polygamy if my wife could find me a second wife. Eventually the would hit rhythm and probably kill me.
The next push is already occurring to change nomenclature of Pedophilia with Minor Attracted Person (MAP). I have seen more than a few videos, articles about it over the last month. Claims they are MAP but don’t break the law. The partner of a MAP role plays a part of being younger than reality. It’s their “I am MAP but legal” act to get the nose under the tent.
Then once that’s normalized or more recognized/accepted/known, the push for lowered age of consent. This also Helps the trans freaks to lower age so kids won’t have to get parental consent to “save their lives from suicide” then MAP moves in ….

In our society, which has a relatively balanced sex-ratio, the average woman rates only the top 20% of men as "datable." For average women, all the rest of the men are, practically speaking, invisible.

Women do NOT "suffer" under polygyny.
Women love gaining access to (a fraction of) the resources of a high-value man. Ten "average" women would typically be thrilled to share (the resources of) one high-value man.
